Sorry to break it to you but it’s not conspiracy nonsense. And can be collected for statistical purposes.

You can apply for the data for research purposes if you clear the million hurdles first.

Specifically the information you will have access to includes admissions as a result of Covid.

Hearhcare is under pressure but seriously do you believe they don’t fill out a basic form stating reason for admission to hospital?

Why don’t they make this information public?

edit: I see it’s for privacy reasons. Well nonetheless, I’m sure this information is taken into account when decisions are being made. I do think they should relax the privacy restrictions a bit as it seems valuable and important information.

If a vaccine is compulsory to partake in normal society, then surely any negative effects from the vaccine you are compelled to take should be the responsibility of the maker or the person who enforced this on you?

As long as the makers of this "vaccine" or the government aren't responsible for any adverse effects, why wouldn't they take a punt?

    So..... It's not conspiracy nonsense.

So do you take it back?

Are you willing to admit you are wrong?

Or are you going to just continue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 391 ✭✭dragonkin

I’ve heard arguments before in which it’s argued the hospitals are hiding the data and it’s part of some secret plot to stuff the ICUs full of unvaccinated etc. so I tend to roll my eyes at that stuff. I was probably a bit hasty to use that conspiracy theory in this case as looking at the post again he said they “choose not to provide this information”. However the argument is really that they’re not able to provide this information due to privacy laws.

    Perfect summary.

Nolan also on 2 occasions ignored an imminent vaccine/booster campaign and the incorrect output that resulted in "stark" "concerning figures" was used to justify further restrictions. Who on earth would assume "no further vaccines" on the eve of a vaccine campaign ?

He predicted 2000 deaths over summer starting in June if indoor dining returned. Despite the fact our nearest neighbours had indoor dining and (with 13 times our population) 26000 people did not die.

A University graduate on their first day on the job would know to validate their model by calibrating actual experience against the models expected scenarios.

That nolan continues to not do this and the predictions continue to be (as the Irish Times called him) "drunkenly" wrong highlights how incompetent he is.

Was in bad need of a quick haircut one day in town so I went into an Nigerian barber. Even an as an anti-vaxxer I thought they were taking the piss. Place was like there was a party going on, masks down by the chin everywhere... but all positive vibes. I normal times I’d be a bit concerned at the hygiene levels but at least it was a bit of care-free / refreshing compared to much of the sterile atmosphere everywhere else.

Nope, it's not really subjective, that's why we have tests. Test people on entry to hospital (where possible, and aligning symptoms). A women in hospital to give birth who develops covid is not in hospital due to covid

They are choosing to not provide this information.

I see you have further commented.

Privacy law is a very convenient thing to hide behind, they can tell us vaccination status, but not covid status on entry. Its total BS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 725 ✭✭✭M_Murphy57

We have no privacy when we are asked to disclose our vaccination status, full name, DOB and phone number to get a coffee.

Why would stats on hospitals not be able to give a generic split of due/from covid with no further identifiable info.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,136 ✭✭✭✭is_that_so

Part of that is down to numbers. If such stats are very small they are potentially identifiable individuals and we know that HSE will not give details on fewer than 5 people for that reason.

Yeah I get that , but we consistently have hundreds in hospital. Even if they did it monthly or quarterly it wouldn't be beyond possibility* and would remove the risk of people being identified.

The covid status is released, the only extra info is "due or with".

(*other than the fact its the hse and they are probably still recording all this stuff on paper except when its digital stuff and they let hackers steal it and leak onto the dark web)

All of the information available on the CSO research hub has been anonymised and is in accordance with GDPR so privacy is not an issue.

To be fair there is a huge amount of information and detail of data that would add little to general understanding.

    But Uk hospital data includes;

    • the number of patients admitted to hospital with Covid
    • the number of patients diagnosed in hospital with Covid

Like you say, it is a choice by authorities here to not release this information currently.

9 billion and counting, plus the untold loss to the economy.

At what point will they realise that shutting down parts of the economy is not sustainable?

Listening to NT and it's very sad hearing texts from people who are going to be alone at Christmas this year because of positive or suspected positive diagnosis.

In the same hour there's reports of record-breaking numbers of vaccinations/boosters being given over the last few days.

What's the point? If the latter doesn't address the former then why bother. This isn't the Black Death - it's something that is increasingly presenting as a mild case of the sniffles, if people have symptoms at all.

Right you are, it's staggering actually that the reaction by Governments to this strain is worse than the strain itself.

There's no perspective. No rational thought with covid. Vaccines are celebrated and urged while being derided all in the same sentence. And without any hint of irony or awareness.

People on their own at Christmas because of minor illnesses. Ads on the radio and TV letting them know how delighted everyone else is in their absence. Mental health!? Sorry noone cares anymore.

Countless times over the last few weeks has there been text messages from parents on the kids WhatsApp group asking for advice on how to go about isolating their perfectly well 7/8 year old kids for 10 days.. not whether or not to isolate them but how to do it! In the majority of cases the parents admittedly went looking for covid. The worst symptoms reported was a runny nose. Is it a desire to be part of a club?

Not so long ago, such a thing would have been regarded by all the same people as mental abuse and child cruelty. Now it's fashionable.

I've lost all faith with people to be honest. I don't see any humanity in any of this.

There's no indemnity clause? If the vaccine causes someone to become ill, they can sue and hold the makers of the vaccine liable?

100% agree. People have gone crazy looking for covid when there are no symptoms. You see it when you are out walking people jumping out into the road to avoid others. It's time to start removing all those yellow covid signs and the stickers on floors and all the other crap so people can get on with their lives without having this rammed in their faces 24x7

I do think there's also find people aren't overly concerned about covid but more so some mad one barking at them about distancing.

Quick update - sister was on to parents last night - she is not travelling over here now.

    Message finally got through.

Will ring her on Christmas Day for a quick chat with her and the hubbie and the kids.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 725 ✭✭✭M_Murphy57

Make sure to keep the chat quick in case Omicron gets into the phoneline. Probably best to isolate for 5 days after it too. Just to be sure, to be sure.

Second data set shows what has been known and accepted in various courts in Europe for over 18 months, the Drosten-PCR test is outright fraud.

Even Fauci Himself Admitted in July of last year that the Covid PCR Test at Over 35 Cycles Is Deceitful, Worse Than Useless. “…If you get a cycle threshold of 35 or more…the chances of it being replication-competent are miniscule…you almost never can culture virus from a 37 threshold cycle…even 36…it’s just dead nucleoids, period.”

Jusly of this year in the US the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that PCR test had failed its full review and was have its Emergency Use Authorization REVOKED. (Although still until the end of the year, it has never actually been approved). The FDA identified this as a Class I recall, the most serious type of recall usually reserved for devices that "may cause serious injuries or death."

The NHS, like our HSE run their PCR tests between 40 to 45 cycles, where its known to produce almost 100% FALSE positives. Does feed the numbers narative and justification restrictions nicely though.

But everyone with a sniffle or close contact to someone with a cough is running to get our Gold standard PCR test.

Yes, people have died but Covid 19 has run its course.

Relax the Restrictions. LOL. As long as the PCR driven casedemic is tolerated, the scam will go on, restrictions are here to stay. Time to wake up folks!

Sajid Javid announces no new restrictions to be announced this week in England in light of the science. Looks like packed stadiums, King George on boxing day with a full house and pubs and nightclubs all open and ready for action.

Boris the reckless at it again, he will be up in front of a court for genocide that bar steward before long.

"if you get on the wrong train, get off at the nearest station, the longer it takes you to get off, the more expensive the return trip will be."

I hope both you , you parents and your sister have a good Christmas.

I just hope she eventually gets to see her parents again at some stage because Covid isn't going away and I don't know will you ever be comfortable with it.

I feel very sorry for your parents with how terrified they are of Covid and from what I can see a lot of it is down to you. I hope the mental health is okay given the situation they are in.

I hope your relationship to them doesn't get to strained because of this in the future.
