Just took a quick spin to Doolin before the red kicks in, it's pretty wild here now over the last half and hour. Red definitely warranted

Pressure just beginning to tick up in Cork now. Max gust for me was 95kmh, max sustained of 57kmh. High end yellow at my location in Cobh but I did lose power from 11am - 3pm so might have missed it going orange for a little while.

Definitely not red for me, but it really was the peninsulas that warrented Cork being red.

That is always a good one to look at in the south. Whoever owns that station consistently has a very high windspeed - I suspect its up a big pole. The pressure is not correct, but he has had sustained of 100kmh and gust of 120kmh which is firmly in red territory.

I know someone who's driving to an appointment at 7 in West Mayo, not too far from the coast! Of course I've advised them but orange warnings just aren't taken that seriously here, are Met seeing something we don't? Or have they overlooked this? I'm stressed looking at all the various models all day.

I currently sit at a high speed of 106.2kmh (11:44) and lowest pressure was 965.6 hPa (09:27) accompanied with 22.2mm of rain.

My location is Mid-Kerry about 13m asl -- pretty stormy out there and all the mountains have disappeared

Now that the orange warning has expired for Dublin can we assume that the worst is behind us, still quite windy out there though.

Inland parts of Dublin will see strongest winds of this event between midnight and 6am, 90-100kmh gusts expected

Your mountains got picked up by the wind. I hear they're on Kildare now😂.

North kerry windy most of the day. Itching to get to the beach but I know better. A tree down between listowel and tralee.

some saucy enough gusts maybe 3 or 4 times in total over the day in east cork. definitely nothing like darwin, ophelia etc. no power down here and we are usually very quick to go.

Woman from ME on RTE saying that people need to bear in mind the the Orange warning is a high level Orange never heard that before.

It's a tangerine warning, not quite shelter in place, just don't extend any limb too far outside.

Can anyone tell me what to expect in north Wicklow between now and 6am?

A fairly blustery night is my assumption?

Should calm down considerably now for a couple of hours and then pick up again around midnight to 6am with NW wind.

but but but but - in my tiny tiny little part of the country, its blue skies, I got sunburnt today, wind - what wind, I just had a BBQ, why did they close the schools. met eireann haven't a clue, dunno what all the fuss is about, I have seen no storm whatsoever, therefore everyone else on the Island of Ireland should have experienced the same weather as I did today.

The record for Valentia is indeed the 88 knots gust from Christmas Eve 1997 but this was also equalled during Debbie in September 1961. Sorry for the late response!
