I'd be happy with that. Have wanted to try Godfall and have heard the DLCs have improved things a bit (not a lot, but a bit). Would definitely give it a try for a while. Mortal Shell I have already bought and downloaded but still haven't bothered trying, will definitely try get to it at some point anyway. Lego Supervillains might be worth a play. I'd add it to the library anyway.

I'd be happy with that. Wanted to play Godfall but didn't want to pay for it.

Rubbish. Other than Lego DC Supervillains, the rest are terrible offerings even by PS plus standards.

With Godfall I'm reminded of Mr Matty's and Skillup's reviews which basically said the boss fights are so bad that it checkpoints their health bars 😂

As for Mortal Shell, why would I want yet another Soulsborne wannabe when I can just play Bloodborne and Dark Souls (which I also have very little interest in) ?

I hate to say it but the fake leak was better lol

To be fair, Godfall is the ultimate PS Plus game - as in the sort of game you see and immediately think 'well that piece of **** will end up on PS+ sooner or later'. The Knack effect.

Both are great games, but Miles is less than half of the content of Spider-Man. That said you can buy Miles and then upgrade it later to the ultimate edition for 20 euros in-game to get access to the PS5 remaster of Spider-Man (which include the base game and all the DLCs)

I've noticed a lot of people these days talking about how terrible games are when they haven't even played them. Why would you bother?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 222 ✭✭copperspock

The HUKD deal page for November's PS+ offerings was full of people calling it a terrible month, even though it had some quality games like Kingdoms of Amalur and The Persistence (better in VR IMO but a good game either way), not to mention the very well-regarded VR games Saints & Sinners and Until You Fall. It seems that for a lot of people, if they haven't heard of it or it's not their type of game, it's automatically crap.

The catch 22 is that you'd only know if it's a great month if you've played the games before and enjoyed them, but if you've played the games then it's not a great month. Speaking purely for myself, the entire point of a PS plus subscription is to play gems I otherwise wouldn't have discovered, or to play games I've wanted for ages but for whatever reason haven't got round to buying yet. By that logic, it's going to be a great month for some people and a bad month for others.

Furthermore, within that I'm looking for games from genres I like OR an instalment in a franchise I like OR those that are exceptionally well reviewed. Godfall and Mortal Shell are none of those so yes, I can determine it's a bad month just on impressions alone. It's only in hindsight once I've played all the games that I'd know for sure - and this would be what decides a PS plus renewal. Makes perfect sense.

Godfall isn't that bad. It's a great looking game, but simplistic controls. But it felt empty, and had a good few bugs/issues. I said I'd pick it up again, so I'd be happy with it on Plus.

Have been tempted by Mortal Shell but if its another Soulsborne then I probably won't like it.

And already finished Lego. Not a bad month really, in comparison to others.

Is there a better deal for ps plus subscription right now other than the 40€ one from PS Store?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,378 ✭✭✭jj880

No straight up cheaper price but instead of paying the 40 direct from your card or psn wallet you could combine it with the 50 euro top up from cdkeys.com for 44.49. Then you have 10 euro credit left that cost you 4.49.

You could then tell yourself you got ps plus for 34.49.

€50 Irish top ups have been OOS for a while on the usual sites unfortunately

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,461 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

They were actually available on Eneba yesterday, all gone now unfortunately

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,378 ✭✭✭jj880

oops I was looking at the search on cdkeys.com and thought if it appeared in the results it was in stock same as eneba.com.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,658 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

Think I got the last one on Eneba a while ago, was about to get a second and it was sold out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,461 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

Yeah ,it's very odd that they have been unavailable anywhere all year and were on Eneba yesterday for a bit. If only buygamecredit was still around 😥

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,036 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

Or be able to direct purchase stuff with phone credit on psn like in the UK.

Happy days. Decent month and three extra VR games for us PSVR owners is great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,378 ✭✭✭jj880

Excellent. I thought it was gona be the same 3 vr games available for all of November and December.

    No new VR games

Also not regular version of Godfall

    Godfall: Challenger Edition | PS5 & PS4

Godfall is a looter-slasher set in a bright fantasy universe filled with heroic knights and arcane magic. Embark on adventure in a fantasy action RPG that utilizes high-impact third-person melee combat to engage players as they hunt for loot, don legendary armor sets and defeat vicious enemies. The Challenger Edition focuses on three unique modes: Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials. All three are endgame-level content, but you’ll be immediately equipped with a spread of deadly weapons and skill points, letting you team up with up to two other players* in co-op. Perfect your build and smash your enemies. Challenger Edition’s endgame co-op is compatible with all upgraded editions of Godfall & supports cross-gen play. Godfall: Challenger Edition players can upgrade at any time to the Deluxe Edition gaining access to both Godfall and Fire & Darkness campaigns.

So for Christmas games this year it's 2 PS4 games and part of yet another multiplayer focused PS5/PS4 game.

And seemingly blocking the PS5 upgrade for Mortal Shell? Why do that? Do they expect people to buy it after using the PS4 version as a trial?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,188 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Awful month. Don't think I'll even add these to the library.

Godfall sounds like a poor game to me anyway but to not even give you the full game is ridiculous!

I'm happy with LEGO game though. They are always fun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,775 ✭✭✭bmorrissey

Looking forward to playing mortal shell, realistically wont download the other 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,776 ✭✭✭JimBurnley

Same as a few others, will give lego a look as they're nice chill out games. Little interest in the others.

Noticed that Asia region only are getting Judgment as a 4th game

I thought they were taking the piss with Godfall but now it seems we're only getting the steam off the piss with that Challenger Edition. Absolute bullshíte. I'll probably download Lego for the kids and end up playing it all myself and play a couple of minutes of Mortal Shell before getting rid of it again but Godfall? Fúck that shít....
