Better to give the good places the publicity than the bad ones....

Wow that is some reactions! I'm lucky to work in a bar where we take this serious and I've lost a lot of respect for some owners in my town because of how lax they are handling the issue. From a selfish perspective, they put my job at risk by helping drive case numbers up and almost left a load of nightclub staff out of work with their actions. On a humanitarian level, some of their staff have no choice but to go in to work there, especially as the PUP is removed, and NO employer in ANY industry should be applauded for having staff work in an unsafe environment. Sure, most of us are vaccinated, a lot of us are young and healthy, not all but a lot, but that doesn't take away from the increased risk in a pandemic to making staff sick. It would be like seeing a business making their staff use a rickety step ladder, ah sure if they fall it isn't gonna kill them. No f you! Look after your staff.

Don't be, hardly surprising given some of the other quite extraordinary reactions to basic measures.

I wouldn't personally subscribe to naming and shaming, Google reviews as someone mentioned a good alternative but I'll let my feet doing the talking so to speak. Besides there'll be compliance for about a week, there'll be high profile inspections over the coming weekend with photographers brought along for good measure, come Tuesday, we'll hear no more about inspections.
