Any sign of the US allowing EU visitors (non essential)

so potential murmurs according to that RTE article as of 18th Aug of it opening by 6th Sept, hard to find anywhere else that is suggesting this

Why are you assuming that they don’t have Irish passports? A lot do. You only need one Irish grandparent.

They didn't need these Irish passports to get in to the country though whereas we would need an American one to fly to America

Hello travellers

Anyone travel ftom Dublin to the US today, November 8th ??

We are going next month, just wondering what the process was like .. check in, US immigration, arrival, etc.. with the Covid certs & PCR test certs ??

Did it take a lot longer than it used to pre-covid ?

RTE News At One today mentioned PCR and antigen tests done up to 3 days before travel being accepted, antigen tests are so much easier.

Thanks but think I’ll fail pcr or antigen tests as had covid recently and was going to use covid recovery certificate from hse instead…

For the US, you need to have your positive test and also a letter from a healthcare provider attesting that you have recovered from COVID.

If you had COVID more than 10 days or so ago, an antigen test will be negative at this stage, so that might be a more straight forward option.

Anyone have any recommendations who to use for US travel that will reliably have the results quickly and that they will accept? Can it be done at the airport?
