Netflix Recommendations Thread 3.0

Bizarrely watched this two nights ago. First I posted about it got a lot of stick. But I loved it. As an ex criminal barrister who now specialises (well in something else) was going through play by play of certain shaftings and how they shouldn’t have happened. Actually realised on reading back that I was talking about the Legend of Cocaine Island. I did watch Cocaine Cowboys. Loved the decadence of it. The power boats world championship was the funniest and equally bizarre thing.

Also watched how to fix a drug scandal. Truly jawdropping. Two separate drug laboratory analysts with a Keith Richards level habit who between them tainted over 30000 convictions. Really interesting documentary.

Finally Fear City. This serial documentary chronicling how basically Rudy Giulliani single handledly dismantled the 5 Mafia families using the RICO Act. I didn’t know he had such a fundamental positive change and equally strange to see what he became.

Old School is being added on September 1st. You’re my boy blue!

Half an hour into Sweet Girl and nah. I've only seen Jason Momoa in GoT and on various chat shows. Seems a likeable guy but this is another netflix turkey. When he blasts the baddies with the fire extinguisher I called a halt.

Ya Tomb Raider is decent and yes as when it comes to video game movies they are all sorts of terrible so this is maybe the best one if only by default. Funny it could have actually been a top tier adventure film were it not for the links to Tomb Raider which is what mostly weighs it down.

Its true Tomb Raider not actually added at this time but is on Netflix UK according to Justwatch.

Didn't realise Season 5 of Chesapeake Shores was being released weekly. Wouldn't have started watching it until it had all been released if I did. Weekly releases are for regular TV not Netflix!!

The Bruce Jenner documentary is excellent.

I have no idea how this script was signed off. The cheap premise set it up to be a hard sell and just about every aspect of its production confirmed it. This is laughably bad.
