Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I spotted this outside a garage that specialises in classics near where I live. There`s a couple more in the background.

That is a 1972/1973 Wolsey 1100/1300. It was a larger size Mini. Wolsey was an up-market marque of BMC. The 1100/1300 (a larger version of the Mini) was a very popular car in its day, with Hydrolastic suspension (water based) that linked the front wheels to the rear wheels on each side. This gave the car superb immunity to side winds, and quite good suspension overall. For such a small car, it gave four/five adults good accommodation with good leg room in the back - no drive shaft tunnel because it was FWD.

The Mini had rubber suspension initially (1959), but got the same as 1100 later.

You can. It costs quite a bit - I think €1,000 but not sure.

You cannot request a number ahead of issue, so if you want [213 C 213] you have to pre-book it and wait for [213 C 212] is issued. You cannot change a registration number except when it is 30 years old and then to a ZV series.

The Reg [ZV 8] was issued to a Triumph TR8, which has a V8 engine, having paid the fee I believe.

Nothing stopping you looking for [ZV 100] to go on an Audi 100 that is over 30 years old, and you are prepared to pay the fee.

You can no longer reserve a number for a car that isn’t brand new.

Two nice cars, I suppose the ZV is worth more than the 04.

Any idea what is that behind the 04?

I would think so, the TEs/TDs are at least as much as the coupes. Depending on condition of course.

The W123 is way classier looking than the modern one

The car is in fantastic condition for sure.

No, he's just lucky the way the Wicklow registration numbers are. I registered my old Saab last summer and got the same w110

Looking well there. It was well worth the wash and wax. At the risk of sounding like a critic, the rear bumber looks like it's kicked up a bit. Is that just the pic or the way it is?
