Agreed, but to what extent does it actually stop it? Comparing a factional reduction in transmition to constant discomfort and a negligible mortality rate, I just don’t think masks are worth it. If you’re in a nursing home or with at risk people, fair enough but the vast majority of people aren’t going to have lasting effects from contracting the virus. Last year there wasn’t even an increase in deaths, because the median age of those dying is something like 83, higher than the average lifespan of an Irish person. I just don’t think all of these restrictions were worth it for effectively nothing.

Yes, but you don't know who they are though. That chap in the UK Derek Garroway his missus is the telly presenter, is in a dreadful state 1 1/2 years after getting the thing. Another fella on the telly the other night, on a programme called "Hospital", guy in his 40's, lungs destroyed, the doctors telling him he will be on oxygen for the rest of his life.

Then alternatively people in their 60's get it and not much damage, and visa-versa. You just don't know.

Pictures of his wife on Air force sitting at the President's desk "studying" for the G7, then the other world leaders laughing at him, while she soothes him with an ice cream have given birth to some good memes, but this gave me a good laugh.

I seen Biden snap at a CNN reporter who asked him if he thought Putin would ever change his ways. Seeing as CNN is like the broadcast wing of the democrat party, it was a stupid thing to do. He seems to have difficulty keeping his temper at times.

Even though he snapped at her it wasn't the bit that CNN showed that caused him to snap, it was the bit before that (with the same female reporter) where Biden told her that she shouldn't be in the business (me paraphrasing). Was teaching the young lad how to change the brake pads on his car today and finally got to say the famous line I always got when I was his age and needed my Father to step in and help, (when I struggled with a bolt or something awkward) "Old dog for the road and puppy for the toe path".

40 odd years and totally worth it.

I’m 37 and it gives me the sick when I get that line or something similar. It’s funny though when he announces he’s not thirty anymore while doing something ridiculous. I’ll always point out it’s been a while since I was thirty!

Yes, a mask is of some use for droplets. Not foolproof, but better than the elbow. I wear a mask because of the possibility of a fine.

I'm not anti-mask, I'm easy about it -my approach is if you want to wear one, that's OK, if you don't, that's OK - but would prefer if they were not mandatory. I just want to be treated like an adult once again.

Yeah, that’s true but those cases are outliers. Basing policies on less than 1% chances is illogical, and such logic can be compared to firearms legislation with murders and mass shootings. True, people occasionally die because of them, but taking away our personal liberties because of them is ludicrous. I know people who were hospitalized and seriously affected by meningitis and swine flu, but I don’t support locking down the country and killing local industries because of them. To quote Ben Franklin, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”.

Over 20% of Californians have switched back to petrol cars after suffering years of power shortages, rolling blackouts and "brown outs" resulting in their cars not being charged ( not to mention other household devices not working and having to be powered off). Its so bad that power companies are telling customers to only charge their cars every third day and only form late night, on.

Watching Jeremy Clarkson's Farming program. Now normally I'm not a huge fan. I watched Top Gear, never bothered with the other car show he was in, but there is nothing else on so I took a chance.

Not as horrible as I though it would be. In fact I liked it. Some funny parts, some good parts, and surprisingly he raises some really good points like the problems of farmers (albeit UK but I'm sure its the same in most countries).

I subscribe to "Harrys Garage" and "Harrys Farm" on youtube. Harry is in Oxfordshire, is a neighbour and friend of Clarkson, but talks about things in a less silly and more informative way.

I binge-watched it last weekend.
I won't spoil it, but it is a right shocker when he and the farm manager see what is their net profit is on a thousand acres in the best of the UK's farm country, and Clarkers throwing, I'd estimate between 150 to 175 K worth of his money into this project in year one. Which wouldn't be too hurtful, after being in Top gear, who wants to be a millionaire, and writing syndicated coloums in the UK press as well as the odd few books.

But would leave your local bank manager either dancing Riverdance on his desk or reaching for the valium and Jack Daniels depending on the loan he signed off on you without those assets behind you on a farm these days,and you praying that your plan will come off to make your farm profitable.

What anyone will take away from this with a farming background is this..Its a christless, thankless,very hard daily graft with little money in return occupation and its not surprising anyone with sense, is getting out of

Let’s say I have 2 .22LR licenses. One licence allows me 100 rounds the other 1000. What’s the max amount of rounds of ammo I can have in my possession?
My twisted brain is saying 100 as any more than that is in violation of one of my licenses.
I know any normal persons answer is 1100.
