I do genuinely think a portion of tickets for this year's games should go to front line workers involved with Covid. It's easy to clap at 8pm on nights but it's now we need to thank them.

Actually that's a better idea. I have no season ticket but I am a front line worker so if anyone wants to start a campaign to get me a ticket I won't stop them :)

You could use the 2020 ones that people never got the benefits of

Yes but we received a refund for the season ticket so the GAA don't exactly owe anybody anything now. It would probably be a pure headache trying to work back on old lists
Easier to just start fresh with everything

How would it be a headache?

Do you think the season ticket is managed by reams of paper spewing from dot matrix printers or something?

Starting fresh with everything sounds more nightmarish.

They have a well oiled ticket allocation system in place with full contact details of the individual available for any contact tracing that may be required.

If anything, the ST system is the ideal method to get these trials up and running.

Dublin and Mayo season tickets sell out afaik and have a waiting list for people to get them. Starting fresh shouldn't be considered imo as those people who have held tickets for years would miss out.

It's really simple for the GAA to log into their system and just have all the details of everyone who had a season ticket before the pandemic. It's a system designed for this kind of thing

Great to see the outstanding fixtures from 2020 start to come out from counties.

Thankfully those here who spoke of writing the year off and "sharing titles" was pure nonsense as expected.

Best of luck to anyone involved in a final, playoff etc. Its a long time coming.

The football was played last winter just before the covid restrictions. Galway won by a point i think.

So how many unfinished 2020 club championships are planned to be completed?
Meath have made time before the start of the 2021 championships to complete the outstanding hurling finals. Ratoath and Trim will play the 2020 final before playing each other in the first game of the 2021 championship a week or two later.

Any date for the county hurling final Hammer.
Ratoath were looking good for the double pre covid.

No firm date yet but a dedicated weekend in August will be set aside for the 2020 hurling finals. I couldn't have seen us being beaten had it been played in October. We had been by far the best team up until then. But now, who knows.

It will be the same as Aviva for the recent games. No alcohol on sale in the ground. Food units will be open and even they will have limited stock to reduce amount of staff needed to work each unit
