An ageing rural estate, ravaged by the harsh Irish climate.

    And some old house.

It's so nice to see older cars in such a great shape and well looked after.

So I picked up another 330d a few weeks ago. I'm still on the fence about it. Not that there's anything wrong with it, in fact the car is a credit to it's previous owner who went above and beyond with it in terms of maintenance and preventative maintenance. The list of works completed, receipts and photos is outstanding. The mods are subtle but effective. Bilstien b12 all round, ceramic brakes all round, timing chains, new gearbox, stage two engine and stage 3 box. It cannot be faulted. The work is exceptional... I just don't think I should have gone 330d to 330d. A sideways move...a very very quick car but a boring move on my part.

Fantastic to see the ST man. Have been hankering for a fast Ford again after I seen my old Focus RS pass me on the road. Had been looking at getting one of those 5 pot’s and they seem to be fantastic value for money at the moment.

Hey Darragh, I've had a lot of cars, including a Mk1 Focus RS, but I can not tell you how much I love the ST.

The exhaust is the standard unit with the centre silencer/resonator removed in favour of a straight pipe, and the sound from that 5 pot is absolutely addictive.

If you're thinking of buying one, I'd be doing it sooner rather than later! I've done ~5,000kms in mine so far, and I've never met another ST on the road. Golf GTIs are plentiful but these aren't, so get one before they get the crazy price status!

Thanks! I think I just need to put my own stamp on it, I'll be changing the cream seats for black, getting a nicer set of alloys, maybe bmw mv4s and a front lip. I think after that's done it'll feel more like my own style. It's very stock on the outside.

Beautiful day to get out for a drive today. Felt like summer was finally here and the bad days are nearly behind us.

If you asked me as young lad in the 80's if a low spec Ford fiesta especially in beige would ever make my heart race I would have have laughed in your face. Now a XR2 on the other hand would have had me fizzing!

Your car is like is like a fine wine and it has aged to perfection, it is stunningly beautiful and the simplicity now makes the XR2 look like shrek's ugly brother.
