Alright. It’s an obvious choice but there’s a reason it’s an obvious choice. Absolutely brilliant theme song for a brilliant TV show. I never get tired of hearing it in all honesty.

*Shrugs* This is just classic 90s tv and a fantastic theme tune to boot. I love when they play it in the dome and all the eejits are grabbing silver and gold pieces of paper after spending the day being locked up in various parts of the set. Never really moved from top spot if I’m honest, though Alabama 3 did push it all the way tbf. A very worthy winner.

Mainly when I’m driving I like songs that get my blood pumping and keep me focused. Power ballads that I can absolutely yowl out like a cat being strangled also work

Much like the 90s round, there were not really any bad entries per se, just ones I liked better really.

The Edgar Winter Group - Free Ride

This round was very hard because there were so many good entries it left it very difficult to rank them, much like the 90s round. This was a really good choice and I’m sorry to have to put it so low, just the other tracks I preferred a little bit more.

(As you can see, I was less cranky writing this round :pac: )

I listen to podcasts or Pearl Jam in the car and after subjecting JGF to a Pearl Jam song for every occasion I made sure I didn't submit any PJ in this one..

The Marshall Tucker Band - Can't You See

This is a nice mellow track that I did not expect to do as well as this. But when I tested out all the tracks whilst driving (well it is a driving miss Walrus round tbf), it held up much better than I expected. The guitar work in particular had me nodding along.

There’s parts of this track and I can really dig and then there’s parts that just don’t fit the category at all. It was very hard to rank this one because the speed guitar parts are perfect for head banging whilst at the wheel but then it gets slowed down and doesn’t fit the car in motion. Maybe I just need to go faster… or is that what they want me to do :eek::eek:

Again another track with excellent compatibility for driving. Especially around these parts when we cross the Leitrim or Roscommon borders. Blare this from the windows and it keeps the natives relatively quiet I find. Or at least the Hill people...

Should I be concerned that my own wife considers this as a driving song? Nah…

It’s just too slow for me tbh, the duet chorus is compatible for singalong but other than that I’d be worried about falling asleep at the wheel listening to it tbh! I do love the track mind, as evidenced from it's previous appearance...

Now it might seem I’m picking on Garbage based on their entries in the game but really, it’s not intentional, I quite like them. Just don’t see this as a driving song, per se. There are parts of the chorus that almost get there but just overall it didn't fit unfortunately.
