Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Way too repetitive. With a 6 minute runtime a song needs to be more diverse than doo doo dah dah on loop to hold my attention. SKIP.

Funnily enough the best TV themes for me are (mainly) for kids TV shows. They’re like the old TV ad jingles, get stuck in your head and remain there forever… surprisingly, very few of you went down this route…

So did you go for something like the above? Or down a different road....

    See y'all at 7pm tomorrow!!!

Drive it Like You Stole it - Sing Street

This is a cracking entry, would you believe I hadn’t seen Sing Street  This entry basically changed that – what a CRACKING movie. Loved it. Anyways I just loved this a little bit more than the others in the top 3 which allowed it to pinch the win in this category.

(Werewolf players may understand what my rambling about it on Sunday evening last was now finally :pac: )
    9f90df7a1cc7b96410a34527bdecbe00.gif

    WHOO-HOO!! :D
Double win if you hadn't seen the film and enjoyed that too

What a round to win, I'm not a big one for musicals :p
I love Sing Street though, class film and this song is a cracker

Oh, another round coming? 90s, my speciality...

    Faithless – Salva Mea

Faithless are unequivocally 90s, no doubt about that. This tune is an absolute banger in parts… I do feel the runtime is unnecessary though, there’s an awful lot of faffing around to get to the meat of the product. Enjoyable, but just a little bit too long.
Ha ha, and back down to earth :p

Like you say, very 90s. It was between this and another for Kol's late 90s dance so I've had this on a lot recently. I love this song, think it's Faithless' best by a mile. The run time was always a gamble but the shorter single edit is nowhere near as good, it deserves the full ten minutes for me, I love the slow build and the ebbs and flows :)

    The purple tin

Tangerine Dream - La Parc LA (Streethawk theme)

Little bit too generic for me, with no big payoff or anything. It’s decent, but not brilliant imo.

    Sawduck

Total Drama Island - Theme Song

Never heard of this show, it’s a decent theme mind.

    Irish Aris

The Dandy Warhols - We Used To Be Friends (Veronica Mars)

Never watched Veronica Mars but did recognise the song. It’s grand, a little bit underwhelming for a theme imo but not bad at the same time.

Back driving this week... any chance of a late revision??? ;)

    :D

It's interesting, when I entered I struggled to think of driving songs, but being in the car again (for 10+ hours) this week after not driving for 7+ weeks I suddenly have a host of better (IMO) inspiration... Will be curious how my original choice did.

Pratt & McClain - Happy Days

Sunday Monday Happy Days! Tuesday Wednesday Happy Days! Ah you get the point. I’m intrigued that you sent a different version to the theme but it’s still great obviously. Familiarity again an obvious issue. But still worthy of a higher ranking imo.

I had another song lined up and this was a last minute change.

Watching Dragon Ball super and it has a catchy intro too, but man Evangelion has the catchiest song ever. Happy song for a "depressing" show.

I didn't know it was so popular in Japan, like even their army band has performed it :D

    Angel Opening Theme

Short, sweet and to the point. Does exactly what is necessary very well though, I do enjoy this theme a lot. Angel is great, again a very under-rated show.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,127 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

And that brings us to our remaining 6….

ShaneU - he likes to live dangerously, you see ;)

fixXxer - another walk on the wild side for fix.. is it a good walk or is he walking the plank though?

Necrina - second appearance here for Necrina, will this one be as joyful as her first round appearance?

Deja Boo - second time in a row for Deja, will she fare better here... or worse?

JP Liz V1 - same for Liz, better, worse... or the same as before?

    And….

Electric Nitwit - previously won the musical category, will it be a second victory? Will he ever be online at the same time as the reveal to find out? :pac::pac:
