    Just picked up the redmi 9 for €131 from amazon.
    Only 64gb but I couldn't be bothered trying again with Vodafone. Had 2 cancelled this week.

    I finally got my phone, nice piece of kit. It came with MIUI 11 installed and a hint to install MIUI 12 but I've heard of a lot of bugs with MIUI12. Has anyone installed it and how did it work out?

    Ive installed 12. There was an issue with Google Pay not working - one day it said the phone wasnt up to standard to use it, but it seemed to resolve itself for myself and others without any further updates. Has worked since. Other than that, its fine.

    Mine updated to 12 after taking out of box, no problems so far

    Have had numerous orders cancelled from VF over the last two weeks with no explanation. Does anyone know if it's a stock issue?

    I ordered one last night @11pm and received confirmation email. I have received the dispatch email this morning so hopefully will get it early next week. I used a spare eir sim that I had in drawer and logged in to my Vodafone as I have broadband with them if this helps anyone

    No idea, I'm in the exact same boat, ordered and cancelled 5 times now over the last 10days or so, three times with 48 SIM and twice with Lyca.

    I had previously bought one for the wife in February and now my own phone (screen) is on the way out so thought it was worth it as a temporary phone for myself.

    No explanation from support, just call their number to process the order manually, didn't bother in the end.

    I tried to put the order through on the phone. They couldn't do it. Told me to do it again online.

    Shop also told me to do it again online. A complete joke. I thought Eir were bad to deal with...

    Got a phone with an eir sim. Went to buy a other one on a new eir sim and it was cancelled. The mind boggles

    I got one last week for €99 on the Vodafone port deal from a 48 sim using click and collect. I didn't have to set up a new my Vodafone account for click and collect. (The downside of this appears to be that you have no way to track your order without an account.)


    No requirement to buy €20 credit either.


    Ordered at 9am, got an order confirmation email and then got text that evening saying it's ready for collection.


    The phone is a bargain at that price for the 128GB. It also has NFC if anyone was wondering.

    The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

    I ordered a sim card from 48 . Gonna give it a try with that. I know some people have had no luck with it and some have so we will see :)

    Ordered and received a 48 sim yesterday ,ordered the xiaomi redmi note 9
    and received email that phone was dispatched this morning :D

    I tried in store in 2 VF Shops yesterday, both saying out of stock and said if they were cancelled from online orders it's likely VF just don't have the stock

    Tried same, but when it processes final page to allow me pay the 99, i get an error occurred message and to contact them directly.

    Ordered last night with a 48 sim to switch. Got confirmation email about half hour after and the €99 payment is showing as pending on my credit card this morning

    I managed to get an order through a few weeks back by....

    Using a different browser. I had used chrome first time, edge second time. I'm sure clearing the browser history, etc would have the same effect. Using a different device or incognito mode may also do the trick.

    I also rebooted my router (mobile broadband), so as the provider assigned a new IP address to the router. This won't work if your on a static IP. If unsure, try it anyway.
