In fairness, what exactly does she want to happen? It sounds like he died from natural causes during the night, what exactly could the prison have done? It's not a hospital, they're not hooked up to monitors.

    a) What happened? And why is an investigation necessary

    b) why is he in prison?

    Very simple questions

Depends what level of family support there is. On face of it, she was 27 when he was 12. Should have been well able to get them on right path then.

Unfortunately some people are in the care of the state from cradle to grave. The head is down & the hand is out. It's a very difficult cycle to break.

He was never even suspended from school

The justice system let the poor lad down. Never mind the poor ****er whose car he stole.

Now it's the justice systems fault according to Laura - what planet is she on, what about her role as a parent???

Joe says it's not worth bringing people to jail for less than 3 months?

Of course, Joe had to ask if the granny was still alive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,486 ✭✭✭✭dvcireland

I'd bet money that the producers contacted the mother in this case and her desire to seek closure on her sons death is just being manipulated and exploited by Joe for his own satisfaction

and at least they paid the drug addicts and alcoholics for the PPS numbers. It's not like they were going to head into the bank for a mortgage themselves anytime soon !!

    More than likely, I think.
She'd have leapt at the chance, not realising the ghoulish nature of the host.
