This Forum looks all but dead. I know there is not a lot happening. Town Centre is very quiet. Over the next couple of months Rafter Street needs to be fully pedestrianised during the day with lots of outdoor seating for relaxed coffee/dining. Or any other street where it would be practical. Council should be pro-active on this right now.

Hard to know what to add really, There was a bit of movement around the town yesterday evening, fine weather, teenagers about..some with masks some not.

    Town needs something.

I would rather poke my eyes out than go sit on Rafter Street having my lunch! Every Tom Dick and Harry stopping to badger me while I have my dinner. No thanks!

Permission granted for 97 new properties in St Johns.

Plans afoot to start a community allotment in town, decision on site to be made next week, pending approval currently. At planning stage with funding application also to the Leader programme. Any one interested, feedback would be appreciated:

I would highly recommend the new Thai/Indian takeaway on slaney street. The copper chimney

Bit of a wait as they were flat out with it being their opening weekend but the food was top notch to be fair. Best of luck to them

Shout out to Greenville Stores for their takeout carvery. Food is very good and reasonably priced.

There was a good queue there earlier today, and everything was well organised and efficient.

Staff are friendly and helpful too!

I told them down at The Hub that my name was Leonardo when they wanted to call me for my coffee. Trick is to not answer the first time they call. Then they have to shout even louder, unsure if someone is winding them up or not. I really enjoyed it.

CASUAL TRADING: This is interesting, but I wonder what is meant by "casual trading" Urrin Bridge on Prom walk is referred to. What would you put there? https://wexfordlocal.com/2021/04/20/casual-trading-returns-to-enniscorthy/

Bring it home at night if they do put anything at the Urrin bridge.

I imagine coffee stalls or burger vans or something similar.

I would think you are right. They seem to do good trade any place I have seen them.

Does Enniscorthy really have the scale for 2 running clubs? Would they not be better as 1?

I think Enniscorthy ac is more juvenile age based. Slaney has a big adult membership.

DMP & Menapians cover Wexford Town area.

Anything that promotes & fosters exercise is a good thing.
