Are you sure he didn't put in an extra "0" by accident on this price, because a decent one like that would sell for around that much money (and that one is on UK plates anyway)

The kit looks terrible on that imho. They're a good little car but that one is not worth 9k.

I posted that a few days ago but not in this thread mind you but I do agree with you it is not worth any where near that. He will not sell that unless he drops the price significantly.

He will probably get the bones of the asking in this crazy market!

Price is now €1111 - bit more realistic? :pac:

I hate that kind of BS. Just put in the price you want for the car. Just put in the price you want for the car even if it is away of the charts. The market will decide after that its worth or even if its worth calling you.

He has the price that he's looking for in the description.

I spotted that too, but just put the price in as it should be so it'll fit in where it should when people put on filters. Plenty more POA and €1,234 crap on Donedeal too.

I couldn't agree more, I hate when sellers do that.

How dare you ask questions about a 20k purchase... Just turn up, hand over the big wad of cash and take your chances.

Am I missing something? I thought the MK1 Golfs stopped being made in the mid 80s? That car has a 91 reg?

Its a stunning car in fairness, I've no idea what its actually worth. Just one thing, the person that will buy that will be a collector. Collectors want originality, and I'd hope he still has the original sound system for it and that no extra holes had to be made to fit it. He should have tidied up the wires coming from the speakers in the boot pic.

The golf cabriolets kept the MK1 body shape until 1993.

This fella is off his head. Changed the gearbox and thinks it worth way more. No NCT either.

Decent spec infariness but i agree hes asking mad money.
No nct, car was originally red and now black but needs more work to make it "mint" which to me screams, the paint is in s**t and needs a full respray. Usually the case but not always. :pac:

And again shíte pics that tell any potential buyer feck all. No interior shots, no under bonnet engine shots. Them looking cleaner than average would get more interest. I always think either a) seller hasn't a blind clue, or b) interior and under the bonnet looks grim.

The mk1 shape was still being built in South Africa, RHD, until recently, maybe 4/5 years ago at a guess.
I saw an imoorted one in a car park, a few years back, i can't remember what year it was but it something like 2010ish.
Pretty much the whole exterior looked like an 80s car but the interior was like a 2010 Caddy.

There was a dark green 08 floating about too - spotted it in Cork and Kanturk. Again it was a few years ago :)

That's very cool. One of the best car designs of all time the mark 1 Golf. Well Giugiaro held the crayons so... Later marks of course became faster and more capable with more toys and comfort and safety, but none came close to the purity of design of the first one.
