Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have ricciardo first two drives been relatively good though? A P7 and P6 are hardly poor for his first two dirves in a new car. Norris is obviously flying in his 3rd year in the car but I wouldn't be writing off Danny ric yet, granted today was a real disaster.

Yeah but pace-wise he's been well off. He finished 28 seconds behind Norris (who was holding up the Ferraris) at Imola with I think about 30 laps left after the restart and in clear air for most of it. Finished 20 seconds behind in Bahrain after starting next to him on the grid. Norris was much faster in quali but for the deleted time too.

Russell in with a shout of some points if he keeps out of trouble. He has decent race craft, and really got the best out of the car today to qualify 11th.

One pitstop race but I would assume safety cars

Mercs ferrari and red bull are starting on mediums? So norris could be in for some joy if that graphic comes to fruition.

Where do you find what tyres the drivers will start with?

I was just about to ask the same.

Did I not hear starts would be returning to 1pm Sunday BST? Whats the sense of starting it at 4pm local, its not exactly roasting hot.

The start will clash with the friggin rugby now.

Have a funny feeling Bottas might get his elbows out with Hamilton at the start. Last roll of the dice for him this season really.

Maybe it something to do with the wind?

It's Portugal, it's the same time as Irish Summer Time! It's not a late start going by the other European local time starts.

Totally. The Italian fella two weeks ago sang with passion.

Sky saying not to rule Bottas out, he has a calm look to him.

I think it is more of a sitting duck look, happy if he proves me wrong though.

Here’s to an exciting race! If I stop posting midway, that means it’s boring and I’ve nodded off.

So from what the commentary team are saying there’s no clear tire strategy which is good.

Danny Ric might pick up a spot or two

That's shocking from Kimi from the on board, no wonder he parked it up.
    Gio couldn't have slowed surely?

Toto wolff has his mask under his nose, surely mercedes should get disqualified for that?

The soft tyre lads will be rubbing their hands for this restart as long as they stay switched on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,586 ✭✭✭✭Dont be at yourself

Could see Norris jumping Perez on the restart with the soft tyres.

Safety cars seems to be hyper sensitive so far this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,163 ✭✭✭chicorytip

It would have to be Raikkonen. No other driver on the grid would be capable of making such a stupid error.
