Think that's Midleton GAA club not Youghal

Youghal was the result of a party, closed multiple businesses and two schools

Heard that there was 150 students from Kerry who had a big party together.

    Sounds like you've been had!

There's 25000 students in UCC and almost as much as MTU. There is a lot of people from Kerry in Cork.

Not nice figures but hopefully they will settle back to our usual range soon

18th birthday party in Youghal is the source of the outbreak. Nearly 20 in a secondary school in Carrigtwohill positive as a result of it.

The parents should be punished as well as the children

If what I heard is correct then there were no parents around.

On a more positive note, I was out for a jog earlier & was great to see load of kids playing cricket on the cricket ground along their. Nice to see some small bit of normal life returning.

Does that then mean that if an 18 year old organised the party, as an adult, they could be liable for a €500 fine? Could each over 18 who attended the party also be liable to a €100 fine?

Surely some knew or helped plan while not attending, I assume the birthday person's family helped pay for supplies venue etc.,

In a way that out break in Youghal is just very unlucky. These events are happening every weekend for a long time in homes all over the county. People are planning weddings for back gardens now. The buy in re Covid restrictions is, for the most part, gone. Scenes from places like Florida Texas and Liverpool are showing people that life can and will return to normal. The vulnerable are getting vaccinated here and the hospitals aren’t busy which is what the whole lockdown was for initially. People can fawn outrage and surprise but this is the truth and it’s showing no sign of lapsing. England plans to do away with all Covid restrictions ie social distancing and masks at the end of June, we can’t have a pint in a pub till July. It wasn’t that long ago when people looked down their noses at England in relation to Covid. They’ve shown a much better approach all around to it and their exit from it has to admired. Just wait until the bars open up north and watch the stampede every Friday to the border.

Close to 130,000 people have died from Covid in the UK. There's nothing to be 'admired' there.

Loss of life is seen as collateral damage by Bojo and his ilk.

They’d want to cop on. I mean NPHET don’t need much to tighten things up again. We are nearly there ffs.

BREAKING: 3 deaths and 569 cases of #covid19 reported today
    Of today's cases
78% are under 45 years of age
The median age is 26 years old

I would say Dublin and Donegal still high, maybe from schools?
