Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's a goof point actually, anyone have an attachment for their phone or is the field of view and eye relief on the scope just really, really good? :D

Now that I found a replacement for photobucket.... a few recent rifles/stocks.

T3 Lite in Multipurpose Carbon stock.

Prototype experiment of a possible new sporter stock. Handles very nice, just testing if we need to tweak anything. Cheek raiser and position taken over from an E-Tac4 stock design. T3 Lite.

You can buy from Sako, Beretta, and a few other places. They're not actually hard to get but for me then and even now there is no way i'd hand out over €450 ($500) for a bipod. The Harris on the TRG done the job perfectly and was a fifth of the price.

I know it sounds odd whinging over the bipod price when the rifle, rings, rail and scope cost over €6,000 but there is buying good quality stuff and then there is buying over priced stuff just to have it. I'm for the former, not the latter.

After "only" 17 months my 6.5 Creedmoor is finally here.
It's a Savage 16 FCSS in a GRS Berserk stock.
I'm waiting on a rail to arrive from Tier 1 I already have the Tier 1 mounts just need the rail I'm also waiting on a Vortex PST Gen2 5-250 EBR2 FFP so its wearing the Falcon 4-14 for now. Mod is a Wildcat Evolution and the bipod is an Atlas BT47.

After what seems like a lifetime, well 8 months, S&W Victory finally arrived. Getting firearms
out of the USA seems to be getting more and more difficult these days.

    3m0.jpg

Got it home and installed the following bits and pieces

    Volquartsen Picatinny Scope Rail
    Volquartsen Edge Extractor
Volquartsen iFluted SS Barrel with Compensator
    Tandemkross Victory Trigger
    Tandemkross Upgraded Mag Disconnect
    Tandemkross Extended Mag Release
    Tandemkross Extended Mag Base Pads
    Tandemkross Halo Charging Ring
    Altamount Walnut Grips

And finally stuck a Vortex Vemon Red Dot on top, ready to hit the range at the weekend.

    Gorgeous rifle :)
I've only ever shot .22 here, 9mm pistol and .223 in the states. What's the recoil like on a 6.5? Living in Meath I'm too far from midlands to justify the membership and cost of a big rifle for very occaisonal trips down :(

A bit more than a .223, bit less than a .308. Very manageable though. If you can happily shoot a .223, you'll be grand with the 6.5 CM. I've never shot a 6.5 Swede though, so can't comment on them. Fairly popular round here. There are quite a few 6.5 calibers. Each with their own characteristics.

One lad in Midlands gave me a few shots off his 7mm Rem Mag. It was a light enough hunting rig as well. That gave me a fair thump in the shoulder.

Very nice! Did you notice much in the way of accuracy improvement?
How do you find the scs buttstock? I wanted that one but thought once I get setup I probably won't use most of the adjustments so the scs lite would be better for me.

I'm envious, and have been looking at .303 Martini's for sale in the UK and further afield over the past few night. I love single shots. There seems to have been a massive cache of military rifles of all kinds sold off out of Somalia. Of course the vast bulk of them have gone to the States.

Mine was printed on the box, I think most are 1/2 x 20.

One option is to bring it to a dealer and they will be able to tell you.

The main reason for getting the LRP over the MTR was the stock. And the difference in price, + €300.
And I sold the wifes other liver and bought the Eliments Helix 6-24x50mm scope.

Haha, 7.62x54R isn't too bad honestly, cheaper than 308 by a bit, and the surplus stuff is cheaper by a good chunk.

Problem would be supply since it is an oddball by Irish standards.

Remember being in a gunshop in Czech and seeing a box of 500 7.62x54R for €160!

Now x39 was cheaper but for fullsize rifle ammo it'd be hard to find cheaper than .32 cents a round. :D

I always fancied a Sako made Mosin Nagant in 7.62x54r. Doubt there are many sitting on dealers shelves gathering dust though. The x39 ? The ammo is dirt cheap and people like CZ do nice little bolt actions in that calibre, think Ruger do too. Be a great centrefire plinker.

Not so much, you'd need to either import it yourself or get a dealer to do it.

It is dirt cheap but sourcing would be the issue.
