Is there any vaccine passport needed for the crucible or what's the story there ?

    Yes, and a RFID chip

Looks like they tried to stop the vaccine passport proposal until September. Thankfully the EU told them to jog on. Our lads are some shower.

Looks very much like an attempt to hold people captive in the state to spend their holiday money here.

Suppose they could also just botch the vaccine rollout so badly that most of can't even get such a passport for this summer

Does anyone know the situation with public worship?

Declan Ganley's case has adjourned again and again although it has resulted in criminal penalties for worship encoded in an SI 171 / 2021. The government seems confused on this point.

he's a bit late to the game, it's just an amendment of SI 168.... there's nothing really different in there.... funerals/weddings stay the same and mass was moved online as part of level 5

S.I. No. 171 of 2021 Health Act 1947 (Section 31A - Temporary Restrictions) (COVID-19) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 would surely seem constitutionally repugnant, but judges here (unlike, say Scotland or Belgium) are essentially refusing to hear COVID challenges. The government seemed unclear about it at the Ganley hearing, so there is a change. The judge gave a two week adjournment to give them time to answer, and this appears. It is a change.

It seems laxly phrased. Religious worship is allowed for a 'wedding reception.' Perhaps they mean a wedding ceremony. Is the priest blessing the drink or saying an extra Mass so no one at the reception gets a hangover?

I probably should have rephrased. Is the re-opening of public worship envisaged at a specified point in time?

No appears to be the answer.

    SI168 (and SI171) expire 4th May

You ate entitled to the passport if you have tested positive for covid and recovered in the last 6 months or with a PCR test showing you are currently negative. So most unvaccinated people can still get the passport if they want to travel

You’d wonder do they really trust the vaccines long term effectiveness yet with the talk of restrictions rolling on in some form for another few years. I suppose that’s still an unknown quantity. Varadkar seemed to hint as much the other day on pat kennys program.

I posed this question a while back.....What if "The Vaccines" are Snake-Oil and Coloured Smoke, turning out to be largely useless (at best) or maybe even more dangerous (at worst).

The reality is,We nor anybody else actually knows the answer to that question, yet we continue to unquestioningly jab ourselves into a state of enhanced expectation.

This entire shambles could yet collapse in upon itself.

It's a trial event to find a way to get back to normality.
I think they are just using antigen tests on the way in.

Not quite as basic, but they have to be seen to remain on-message so lots of visible stuff...

    https://wst.tv/crucible-ticket-holders-testing-information/
Prior to attending the event, you must take a Covid-19 rapid lateral flow test at a Local Authority Asymptomatic Testing Site close to where you live or work. If you are travelling from outside of Sheffield, you must take this test prior to travelling. For attendees of multiple event days, you must take a test prior to the first event you attend, and then every third day thereafter. (To clarify, if you test on Friday to attend on Saturday morning, you would need your next test on Monday).

So it's not a vaccination passport then

    What Indian variant panic ?

Donnelly has yet to add India to the mhq . He’s obviously too busy grandstanding and playing it up to the EU to act on a real country of variant concern.
He’s about as useful as a bicycle for a fish.

You can detect in advance the panicky type. They mostly look the same way. As Ireland and the EU slides out of its nasty communist phase, the slightly portly bug eyed ones are still preaching.

Well I dunno ... if its all above board because the UK has a significant percentage of the population vaccinated I'd say fair play to them

Though some here will obviously have deep concern with the photo of Policemen dancing on the streets of Soho. I do hope it gets the same strong condemnation from those who righteously pointed out how the HCW dancing on Tiktok videos should be ashamed of themselves & etc.

On a serious note - one interesting paragraph in all that is this especially considering the ongoing discussion of that topic and its only authorities here and etc ...
I'm less concerned about reopening outdoor venues and more concerned about indoor venues where we know transmission does happen particularly given that predominant mode of transmission is aerosol transmission" says clinical epidemiologist Dr Deepti Gurdasani.

"So much more concerned about gyms, hairdressers, and shops opening without adequate mitigations in place," she says.
