I emailed them back and told them to stuff their Enyaq and not to send me anything more. So doubt people are filling their order books :D

Sent something similar. Spec to price ratio is way off. Other European countries seem to have it a bit more accurate.

I think I would rather wait to see what Nissan's Ariya will be priced at. Qashqai was always well specced and well priced compared t0 Skoda's offerings

Apparently they’ve sold out of 2021 deliveries of the Enyaq.. I’m surprised!

Sold out of a very small allocation for Ireland. Not sure if the restrictions on the Skoda Ireland side, or just overall limited numbers.

Yeah, wasn't it around 200 units? That's less than three number of id3 cars sold in their first month on sale.

It's a lovely looking car, and I guess priced against their ice equivalents it's grand, but priced against the id4 (which is what you'd compare it to) it's poor. It's either cheaper with way less features, or more expensive with similar features.

Apparently the daily production target is 350/day so it looks like its just Skoda Ireland has just been very conservative.

    Or building marketing hype.

    Something like:

We've sold out of our 2021 allocation*

2021 allocation refers to our day 1 stock, we will order you a car but it may take 6/8 weeks to arrive

Wow! I'll really need to target 500km+ range, as I suspected.

So the Skoda enyaq is coming to Ireland later this month. How will it fair on th Irish market and will it stand up to its VW ID4 Cousin. Options on price, looks etc. https://www.skoda.ie/electric-and-hybrid/enyaq-iv

It looks nice but from playing around with the build your car option, it gets very expensive really quickly once you add in a few bits to give it a similar spec to whats expectec in the Ionic 5.
Having to pay extra for a car alarm, surely they have been standard in even basic new cars for the last 15 years or more?

Always good to have more options.

Badly. The expensive version is similarly priced to the id4 1st, so here's my comparison.

    Pro:
    Includes lumbar support
Looks a bit more conventional, so perhaps better looking.

    Cons:
3 pin charger is €700+. Included in the id4.
50kW is the standard DC charging, 125kW is €550 extra. 125kW is standard in the id4.
Seats are not heated like in the id4. Costs €500 extra
Windscreen isn't heated. It is in the id4.
Cruise control isn't included, it's part of an expensive add on ~€900.
No USB ports in the rear

Why anyone would pay near €45k for the enyaq over the 1st I've no idea. Maybe vs the id4 series versions it stands up better, but against the 1st it's shockingly overpriced.

Does the price on Skoda configurator includes the grant? I can't find any mention of this or VRT rebate.

The price after the grant and rebate (the on the road price) is 44712. Clearly broken down in the pdf. A nice €2k on delivery too. Greedy

maybe I'm an old fashioned EV head, but any company that is looking to charge €700 for a granny charger can fcuk right off, on principle, if nothing else.

I think we're at the point where granny chargers should stop being supplied with vehicles, they are fast becoming e-waste.

making them optional is debatably fine.
300%-400% price gouging on that option is well into the zone of pure fcukery..

Interesting point. I don't think we're there yet though. Plenty of places in Ireland without chargers. Even hotels with chargers can find them "broken" and end up using the 3 pin. I'd certainly not be without it.

The price for it though! Crazy money.

In my two years of EV ownership I've yet to use it bar one time to see how it works.

Supplied by default, yes I agree.
But there should be a (no cost?) option to have it included. I rely on my UMC when visiting outlaws in rural wexford where there isnt a 22kW let alone a DC charger within a half hour of the house.
Same for family in Kildare and Laois.

I don't think there's a decent charger in the whole of county Wexford.

There are 2 ecars 50kW units between Wexford town and Rosslare harbour. Fairly new units too.

It's debateable whether 50kW can be classed as decent though. :o

Can't say red looks the best, but from other images i've seen it's a good looking car.

Nice that it seems to have keyless entry on that model (not sure what trim it is, the electric memory seats suggest it's not the base model we'll get here). Not 100% sure that's the case in Ireland.

Lol. Rightly doesn't agree with the 58kWh battery. Little dig at the 50kW charging as standard.

Looks like decent storage in the center console vs the ID.4. Physical buttons on the steering wheel and under the screen. Seems decent enough, but heating looks to be touch screen all the way.

Yet more shoddy/stuttering/freezing software, though the ID.3/4 have gotten an update recently which has made things a bit more fluid.
