Was playing The Long Dark on pilgrim survival mode, but starting to find the random wolf attacks to be getting a bit tedious. Now playing Valheim.

Hooked on Loop Hero. I was put off by the graphics as I think the 8-bit era is very ugly but it's good. Relaxing enough as the game kinda plays itself. Even the 8-bit chip tunes got through to me.

Still playing a bit of Warcraft but also going to try out Yakuza series on xbox pass.

  • Started Wasteland 3 on Game Pass there. I really want to enjoy it but it seems you can just completely **** up your character builds which is stressing me out a bit.

Edit - ok gotten into it a bit more, it's really really good. Enjoying it a lot, once you get over the initial hill of character creation.

Around four hours into Hades. Most fun game I've played in years.

Edit: This game is a must-play.. I've never played anything like it before. It's immensely satisfying.

I've been eyeing that one for a while now, must get it sorted.

I've been playing Wreckfest via XBGP, nice driving/DD game, I suck at it though but still fun just smashing cars!

Just downloaded 'It takes two' last night, not got to try it yet but should do later, looks fun

It's easily the best game of last year. Absolutely fantastic.

  • Finished Wasteland 3, it's really good if you like that style of game. I think I'll start Divinty OS2 again, I played about 80% of the way through before the definitive edition came out, and have always wanted to go back.

I think I'll also start Hades, played about 5 hours of it before but will start again and really get into it.

Also going to give another plug for Desperados 3, it's on Game Pass so could not recommend it more highly.

Black Desert sure sounds interesting. I picked it up for free a while ago on steam alright but never installed. Must check it out.

Went back to Borderlands 3 recently as i hadnt touched it since a week or two after launch.
I dont have any DLC but even still the game has plenty of content and just a blast to play.

Cant get Black Desert to play, keep getting an "access denied" message. Google says its a common issue but no real solution showing up..

I've been playing some Battlefleet Gothic 2.

I wasn't sold on some of the mechanical changes I had heard about (getting rid of autocast for Boarding actions and Teleportation strikes, for example), but on the whole I think they did a good job of scaling up from game 1 and adding more depth to the rosters, more races, while streamlining the game and making the campaign a bit more engaging.

Still early into my first campaign, but it was fairly straightforward to pick up after playing game 1.

Anyone playing the tenants? Looks like a Sims /property manager sim game. Still early access but looks like it could get very repetitive.

How does Borderlands 3 compare to the previous games?

Loved BL2 but just could not get into the pre-sequel at all.

Playing "The Fall" recently, one of the freebies. A point and click game with an interesting story and great atmosphere, really enjoying it. Puzzles not too obtuse either

I've played BL3 but not the previous ones, the main criticism of it I heard was that it was too much of the same. On that basis if you love BL2 you should be good. I really enjoyed it anyway, thought it was well worth a play through.

Couldn't get into Hades at all. Really wanted to love it given the glowing reviews but just can't warm to it. Picked Doom Eternal back up again recently for the new DLC but was too rusty so I've gone for a full playthrough again. Super game forgot how great it was.

Really, I thought it was good. I played it twice. Once on PC and then again on Xbox before B3 came out.

Nowhere near the quality of BL2. Story just isn't there compared to it, new characters are a bit sh*t, and the missions lack a certain something that make you just not care. The humour isn't as on point either.

It's not bad as such, it's just not very good either.

Lets be honest story in a game like this is only for the first few hours of a game that can literally give thousands of hours of gameplay.
Story good or bad is just scratching the surface for a game like this, its the gameplay and loot grind that keeps players coming back.
In that sense and as the game was intended its better game than BL2 which is also a great game but if your playing for story BL2 is better i think, dont remember stories too much in looter games :P
I do agree about the classes, Moze is the only class i enjoy in BL3.

Started on Disco Elysium. Not sure what to think of it yet.

I've been playing a minimalist city-builder called Islanders. It's very charming, relaxing and appallingly addictive.

It's only a 5er on Steam. I would strongly recommend it.

Im in the same boat. Started it a while ago, played about an hour and did not have a clue what was going on. Went back to it yesterday as its received a big update (full voice acting I think) and am going to give it another go. Its a beautiful game but I still have no clue whats going on..

Steam are having a Lego sale right now so I decided to buy a handful of them. I then realised that Lego Star Wars wasn't part of the deal (probably gets put up on Star Wars deals) so I got The Complete Saga. ~€17 as the base price isn't that bad considering the amount of content. So that's what I'm currently playing.

I have a few issues that are mildly irritating; a few technical ones where the game will stutter at very specific areas in a level. Doesn't happen too frequently to make me stop playing, but it's enough to make me notice and think "yeah, nothing I can do about this so may as well accept it". Another one being one or two random instances where the game will freeze for 0.5 seconds three or four times in a row, and then do it again after a minute. Again it's not enough to make me quit out, but it's odd enough.

Slightly disappointed there are no achievements added in but I don't think Steam had the system early on - especially when this came out.

I've no intention of grinding my life away trying to unlock everything. I just want to play through the main story and get as much as I can at least. I never played much of these games - they sort of became popular when I entered adulthood, so they just barely scrape after my time but my younger brother would've played the absolute shít out of them so that was my exposure. I didn't garner much interest until Lego Marvel Super Heroes came out. I beat that on PS4 about 7 years ago. I have no REAL interest in the Lego game series but I respect their gameplay loop and content. Plus they're simple as hell to play so they're fairly relaxing in a way. I'm enjoying it.

Ended up refunding it. Not for me i'm afraid.

After starting the series most of a decade ago, I was just about to finish the final boss of Lightning Returns when it adopted a form which made it all but immune to damage. I think I started playing this in 2015 and never expected to finish it as I never thought it would get a PC port but now it has and I can't finish it for another reason. Odd that the first two instalments in the trilogy had godawful PC ports but LR's is actually decent. Only decent, mind.
