Also quite telling and predictable that this thread was overrun with Trumpsters when Biden fell but hardly a whimper from them after the press conference they were whinging so much about him not holding. It's almost as if they didn't care about the press conference at all and it was just another weak stick to beat him with. What are they going to cry about now?

Now it’s the questions were too easy.

Every question is easy when you’ve a handle on the detail and actual policies to speak about.

Here he is in the 2012 VP debate - https://youtu.be/05VnURkqjXs

edit - adding comments as per mod instruction.

If you can't see the decline in this guy from 2012 to now then I don't know what to say.
This shouldn't be a partisan issue, Trump is gone, forever he won't run again in 2024 it's ok to admit that Biden is in over his head.
People have this blind loyalty to him because he was the saviour that beat the orange Hitler ...

The point of the 2 links is that he is articulate and on the ball in the VP debate whereas yesterday he was constantly losing his train of thought.
And btw he never stuttered before - never, yet the MSM now go on about how he got where he is even with a stutter ? as if to say he always had it ? wtf ?
No wonder people don't believe these hacks anymore.

I don't particularly care about Biden or his policies - same for Trump (saying that because of course I will just be painted as some MAGA loving Trumper) I care about the truth, we are in a reality war right now..

There really is as otherwise it is nothing more than a youtube dump.

What is the point you are trying to make?

Or is it that you are simply making sure that people appreciate that it is not 2012 but 2021?

It’s very telling that there’s very little criticism of Biden’s policies on the thread.

He is encouraging mass illegal immigration. His policies are encouraging people to send unaccompanied children over the border.

A lot of the time it is cartels sending a mass of people to overwhelm border patrol and then the real serious dangerous criminals cross.

We are in a reality war? What does that even mean?

There is no doubt that you, and in particular Trump supporters, are at war with reality, but that doesn't change reality.

The reality is that Biden is clearly getting stuff done, clearly doing his job, and clearly has aged. That is all a reality and nobody is at war with any of that.

What you seem to be implying is that his age, and physical attributes, should be first and foremost topic of discussion rather than what he is actually doing.

It is not surprising, given that Trump was the perfect example of style over substance. His supporters didn't actually care what he did, what his policies were, whether he actually did the job or not. It was all about the show.

So of course it has hard to deviate from that POV. Now Biden is seen in the same context. His Press Conference is boring, his answers are muddled (which is the most surprising of complaints given the absolute mindless drivel served up by Trump).

If all Biden was doing was giving Press Conferences with nothing actually happening on the ground then this might make a coherent argument, but the reality is that Biden is doing a great job, certainly as good as anyone could have wished for.

How? How is he encouraging this, can you elaborate?

The numbers arriving at the border have surged since Biden got into power and started to dismantle Trump's reforms.

I got my news watching a press conference with the Texan governor and border patrol. I don't use facebook - it's a pile of ****e. I don't appreciate you insinuating that I am stupid.

Well..... - The "surge" is quite similar to the volumes seen in 2019 when Trump was in charge - Was it his policies that drove that surge??

There are a number of factors driving the recent increase , a lot of it is seasonal and also linked to pent-up volumes as a result of Covid.

The pandemic has also made things quite a bit worse in the source countries along with a number of natural disasters etc.

Bottom line - The surge is not wildly different to volumes seen in previous years and there are multiple factors driving the current volumes

To lay the blame entirely at Bidens feet is disingenuous at best.

If the surge is due to Biden's policies, how do you explain May 2019?

And Trump's "remain in Mexico" policy was instigated as a direct result of that surge.

Fair play to Biden tho for generously giving us an hour of his time for the first time in over two months since taking office... well it wasn't really a press conference if he knew exactly what questions pre-chosen reporters would ask, reporters which he had the names and the headshots of in which he planned to call on, all marked out and ready on his prepared sheet.

He is doing very well isn't he. Focused on the job, making serious progress, hitting deadlines. Not distracted by childish, selfish, pettiness. Communication is consistent, clear and informative. No ego drive narrative.
Excellent work so far. We all know the bar was low, but Biden will already be remembered positively for having coming in and taken control and made improvements. Especially so when the last guy tried so hard to inhibit him.

Do you know the difference between correlation with causality? Because from your statement above it appears not

Biden really is the king of identity politics.
10 reporters asked a question yesterday.
7 were female, of which 2 were African American, 3 were hispanic, one was Asian American and one was white.

Prechosen reporters, prescreened questions and learnt off answers.

Biden is in serious cognitive decline, it's obvious from that pretend press conference, be very surprised if he sees out the 4 years

lol at the name and talking about Biden's supposed decline.
It happens to all of us. And whatever decline he has experienced which is entirely natural given his age, he is still the best person to be the office today.

It is funny - I watched the same press conference and never noted that. Isn't it odd what people focus on?

Learned off answers? I thought you were complaining that he had notes?

Can't be that bad of a decline if he can learn off the answers then...

Oh no! 2 African Americans asked questions! If that is what you are worried about I suspect we alright. Do we need to have a minimum quota of white people questions or what?

I guess exactly 5 male questions as well maybe? Do we need specific quotas for white men specifically?

Good grief. For weeks you have been on complaining that he hasn't given a Presser, and now that he has all you have got is a snarly comment about how we are lucky to get any time from him!

And you are complaining that he took the time to be prepared? That he wanted to know who was asking the questions? Have you ever been interviewed? Do you simply rock up without a clue and see how you get on?
