Yeah but i cannot sit up all night with a hose. It has to be something permanent.

What, if any, laws are there surrounding the control of Cats?

I honestly don't know, the same as for dogs trespassing on sheep farms ? I cannot hurt them anyway, i don't want a row with next door.

Biden wants to hike nearly every tax to pay for all this. Income tax, fuel taxes, Death duty, corporate taxes etc.

The money will have to come from somewhere. It's inevitable that taxes will have to be raised to help pay for it. Make no mistake, we'll be the same here.

The guards are saying people are ignoring the lockdown, by the amount of traffic on the roads, and the amount of money taken in fines for breaking the 5km rule.

    No surprise there.
A lot more people are just done with the charade.
Even those who agreed initially are beginning to question things.

Went for a walk in a local town today.
On one street alone 5 businesses were shuttered for good.
Several others evidently hadn't seen customers in a good while.

The bill should be sent to China, they started this with their horrible wet markets, and the Chinese have profited massively from this pandemic, while everyone else lost out.

IMHO cats are a huge killer of song birds and any owner who allows their cat to wander should be slapped with a fine of a few grand same as if you were caught netting or killing songbirds/protected birds yourself

I’ve a lad under two and as many of ye know with them everything goes to the gob. Cat shít is highly toxic and can blind kids. Vermin as far as I’m concerned. Cats haven’t got some sort of right to roam but people seem to think they do.

Any gardeners on here have anyway to keep cats out of your garden/flower beds ? We spent a lot of time and money putting in plants, and the crazy cat woman next doors cats have dug them all up and destroyed the place with poop.

I don't want a barney with next door, so any natural remedies to get rid of them, deter them ?

A 12 Gauge in the right ear normally works pretty good, :D:D, ok, joking...

Cats do not like water and anything that has a very high/pungent smell. Next time cat is in garden watch it, note everywhere it sprays its scent, re-spray these areas with the cheapest nastiest smelling perfume you can find. Boss indoors will happily tell you what to use.

The Feral cats are fair game .....

I see the EU has told france to stop glue trapping song birds, about time maybe.

Going from Cats to Mice, i see Australia is having a plague of them in two states. NSW and Queensland is rampant with them.

Little feckers invaded my garden shed 4/5 years ago en-masse even though I had a sonic rodent yoke installed, those things are useless, waste of money.

Feckers literally chewed everything to bits, chewing stuff not the biggest problem, biggest problem is the amount of poo/crap/smell they produce.

Local cats are useless, big old fat tom's just looking for a night time rumble in the jungle.

I now bait the shed and the garden (with 4" pipes) annually.

If you knew someone who keeps ferrets, get a lend of them for a while. Mice or rats won't hang around if they know there are ferrets or mink around the place.

Was chatting the father outside , got a lovely sound coming through in the late evening from some curlew I didn't know what it was because they haven't been around in years but he remembered the sound
Another reason cats shouldn't be allowed out

Have to say though it was a lovely sound hopefully they'll stay around

Proably not a bad idea to put one into Congress,[or maybe rename it the retirement home as well when you see the ages of them lot over..."Elder statesmen ad women" springs to mind.If they don't bring in term limits, they should be put out to grass at 75...You should have trousered enough cash and done screwing up the place by then.

I dunno, I don't think age should be a determining factor for most things, public office included.

Well you have to be at least 35 for the job. I presume to have gained a level of maturity etc. So it's not unreasonable to suggest a cap at the other end to ensure the person has the energy for the role.

Ah, you know old folks...they get crabby and cranky and set in their ways, and it's their way or no way, and forgetful of things, like where they put the nuke codes or the TV remote...:p And I mean if you Commander in Cheif cant walk up a flite of stairs without falling over his feet its not very inspiring to leading your troops into battle is it. Reminds me of this Gary Larson cartoon.
