    Bombing Syria wasn't insignificant.

It was certainly insignificant compared to this.

    Bombing Syria wasn't insignificant.

It kinda was ..... Not if you want to be faux outraged of course

"Bombing Syria"? Or precision strikes against military installations? Because there's a huge difference you know.

What caused him to do that?

    You're clutching at straws there.

    Oh the ironing.

Maybe try to make a coherent point first before telling others they are clutching at straws

    You're clutching at straws there.

Not really, was it a town full of innocent people? Or was it a military installation that was bombed?

    You don't see any difference?

    Oh the ironing.

I was glad to see almost universal condemnation anyway across the political spectrum, only the blind defenders in here are arguing about the definition of bombing. Hilarious.

Dropping bombs in a country means bombing that country. You trying weakly to redefine it doesn't mean anything.

Seriously, that is the weakest argument I've seen in a long time.

What? Are you saying that the majority of democrats disapproved of the bombing? And the majority of republicans approved of Syrian bombing when Trump was in charge but all of a sudden changed their mind when Biden took over?

Did you have a problem with it when the former guy was doing it?

No I loved it then. I love when republicans bomb stuff, but when democrats do it I get very angry. Does that satisfy your blinkered view of reality?

That's the only argument you guys ever produce.."but Trump." So weak and tedious.

That is our argument because, you know, it's true. We don't need to add anything else.

You were not bothered when Trump did it at all and the fact that you keep avoiding simply stating otherwise further demonstrates that.

Not as weak as pretending to be outraged at something you happily ignored under the previous admin. The hypocrisy is tedious.

Again ...try to make a coherent point ... your lack of understanding re different types of bombing is cringeworthy

Couldn't read between the lines then? I'll spell it out for you, I was appalled at military action under Trump.

I've been critical on this thread of Trump so many times, the fact that you have to make a disclaimer everytime you post about Biden is tedious. Seriously, ye need to accept that not everyone being critical of Biden are Trump supporters, such a stupid position to hold.

Where did I ignore it? I wasn't on this site during Trumps term. Show a post where I've supported Trump.

Different types of bombing. Haha! Biden drops nice bombs. You just acknowledged it was a bombing by the way. Oops.

So would you like to tell us what is it about the attack on this military installation that has your knickers in such a twist?

First show me how I'm a Trump supporter, several accusations so far. Should be easy to find some previous posts where I support him. Or maybe you want to apologise for that remark?

Oh look, made up nonsense. Would you look to point to the post where I said you were a Trump supporter?

Yawn. You said I wasn't bothered when Trump did it, implying I agreed with it. Learn to debate in a mature way. AOC and many Democrats had huge issues with the bombings, must be secret Trump fans.

So I didn't say you were a Trump supporter? Got it.

And I do debate in a mature way because I don't avoid answering questions. So let's try this again.

I share the view with many Democrats that these strikes undermine diplomacy and are counterproductive to potential peace. I'm assuming then that you'd have no issue in saying that Trump ordered strikes were necessary? Because I hold the same position on those.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,151 ✭✭✭Curse These Metal Hands

    Fixed that for you.

Anything of worth to add to the discussion other than lies and trying to redefine the word "bombing"?

Nobody is trying to "redefine" the word Bombing so you might as well climb down off that high horse you are so fond of

So no then. You said Biden didn't bomb Syria.

Here's the definition of bombing: "an act or instance of dropping or detonating a bomb somewhere."

Oh I have absolutely no qualm about those strikes because, just like you, I don't know enough about their details to have any strong feelings one way or another as to whether they were justifiable or not. You, on the other hand, heard the word "bomb" and immediately got outraged.

You seem to be of the opinion that American military foreign intervention should not be a thing then? Who was the last American president that you liked?

So the Biden strike is the only one you've bothered to read up on to arrive at an opinon? Strange. Sounds like you're afraid to admit you agreed with Trump military action. I mean, you can't really say this is any different so you must agree with Trump.

This thread is about Biden, but I haven't liked an American president in my lifetime anyway which goes back to Bush Sr. I've never seen an example of US military action that was fully justified. If there is, its far out weighed by the immoral actions.
