The restrictions in America are absolutely appalling from a European point of view. Thousands at the Superbowl just a couple of weeks.

Where is the Biden leadership on these issues?

That is all you've got? Nothing about the incredible job Biden has done, despite Trump actively refusing to help a handover?

Biden came with a plan, a will to work, and has achieved amazing results particularly in light of how Trump left things.

Just goes to show the value of real leadership.

At least be honest and acknowledge what a great impact Biden has had.

Biden and the federal government has zero ability to impose any sort of restrictions or to limit crowds etc. This is entirely a state power. Biden has impressed restrictions on federal employees and federal workplaces, which his predecessor ignored. That's the limit of what he can do.

The crowd at the Super Bowl was permitted by DeSantis and the Florida state government with nothing to do with Biden. Come on man, direct your outrage at the right targets.

No change at all in restrictions since he came into office. I just mentioned the Superbowl.

No action taken on the mass travelling around in America with busy airports and motorways.

    Appalling stuff.

It seems the Democrats don't really care about the death toll either. (Shocker).

    Rarely.

And most are boring (with the obvious exception of Trump).

The U.S. President doesn't even have a form of Leaders Questions in parliament (PMQs).

For big announcements, they'll give an address and there will be no follow up questions.

i mean press conferences. as in take questions from crowd randomly

The federal government issue was dismissed when it came to Trump.

The crowd at the Superbowl was appalling. No comment at all from Biden on whether it was appropriate or not. No leadership.

    Again, very rarely.

Perhaps once or twice a year depending on the president.

You are being totally disengenuous when you were fully supportive of trump and his rallies.
Stop being on the windup please.

Once again as you don't appear to understand. The power to impose health related restrictions, limit crowds, impose mask mandates etc lies SOLELY with the States. Why are you peddling lies?

Texas and Mississippi, both republican run States, are rolling back mask mandates and Covid restrictions. Are you going to condemn them??

You mean the game held in Florida, whose republican governor has been fiddling and suppressing reporting on their covid numbers among other things?

Right so you just go straight to calling me a liar.

Difficult to debate with this nonsense.

My point about Biden leadership stands. He may not have the power to authorise changes but he could make speeches and give guidance.

This is exactly what Trump did not do and what got so many irritated. So the same must apply to Biden.

Obviously you haven't been paying attention. Biden and his administration have been talking about Covid and the importance of following public health advice from day 1. To say otherwise is just disengenuous.

    The superbowl crowd in Florida?

We know what's he said about crowd gatherings.
He's said it from the start.

Interesting. Trump did 1 solo press conference in his first year. Yet we have the usual suspects here getting their knickers in a twist over Biden.

You brought up the crowd at the super bowl and how appalling it was!! You have zero self awareness :pac:

Well that has me surprised, because I seem to remember George Bush Jr hardly ever speaking to the media in standard press conferences.

I would be interested to see what they define as a press conference there. A speech with no follow up questions isn't a press conference.

Moaning about the Super Bowl crowd which has nothing to do with Biden, while ignoring that Biden had no crowd at the inauguration to ensure he complied as much as possible with health restrictions on Washington DC.

Hundreds and hundreds of people at his inauguration. Singers flew in from around America for it. Ex presidents and their wives too.

    Completely unnecessary.

YOU brought it up! You said it was appalling that the crowd at the super bowl was so big. But not appalling enough to direct your obviously fake outrage at the person actually responsible. You're making yourself look extremely silly.
