It's an interesting stress test of what alt coins might have a future. The ones that are folding easily are indeed sh1tcoins.

There were a lot of alt coins that never recovered from the 2018 crash

These are the coins I have, from this list which ones would you consider crap? For curiosity.
    Thanks

Ethereum lol. Really, what is the point? It's one thing to have high fees in a bull market but when they then 4x in a dropping market...fecking hell, you're basically locked in . What's left in my metamask wallet is staying there for life I guess :o

Personally, all bar ETH & maybe link are complete and utter tripe. Just an opinion though.

ADA though??? Sure they were just running on promises for the last few years but it's finally starting to become real. It's one of the few that didn't take a hammering.

A coin very may well be a ****coin, but if you can still make money on it. Dodgecoin is the king of ****coins and I personally know someone that recently made a fortune from it.

    Newbie here but

I have enjoyed paying for stuff using XRP

I have two VPN's and I used to send money to Argentina at a fraction of the cost.

I then went to buy Mega(uploading service) using bitcoin and it took 4 hours for them to get the funds

I'm not a fan boy but the speed of XRP is amazing.
Is there another coin that can do this in the same way? I'd love to check it out

    Down 13% since midnight.

Hoskinson creeps me out, wouldn’t let him mind the family pets

XRP is fast alright but it is down 96.8% against Bitcoin since January 1st 2018.

    100% centralised sh1tcoin.

Which in this case is only half a bad as everything else :pac:

And to be fair, all these tech people creep me out.

Made a few quid off it myself on a scalp but would never invest in it. With a few million produced each week from now until infinity it’ll run out of stern eventually.

I'm all for a nice healthy correction, but I have to say my confidence has been hit seeing how much influence Musk and co. have on it.

He seems to get a kick out of people losing money. I'm just waiting for his next sh*tpost about dogecoin or something completely idiotic about the market in general.

I guess that's what happens when things get too noticed...

Easy - and pointless - to achieve speed by sacrificing decentralisation and censorship-resistance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 321 ✭✭Mucashinto

I really think people feel they missed the boat and stopped even considering investing (eg Portnoy), so a healthy correction could see some reassess. Honestly think at 35k or so it would seem a lot better value to new investors. Who wants to buy in at an ATH after such fast gains I suppose.

But then also, if uniswap is supposed to be valuable...I wanted to swap out some my coins and buy back lower - could be wrong so then I would suffer, that's the risk - but the last fee I could stomach to pay last night was €75! To do the same swap today, after a 15% ETH drop would be €260!! Feck, no future in that surely.

I had/have the exact same problem. I’m using BOI.

I couldn’t transfer to Bank Frick (maybe because it’s in
    Liechtenstein)?

Clear Junction has terrible reviews on google (anybody any issues)?

So I used In Core but that’s a Swiss bank account so not sure if that’s creating a target on my head for revenue.

I’ve been trying to pay by CC just to get started with Kraken but for the life of me I can’t figure it out because I don’t have any option to pay by CC and I have read all the support pages (turning off 2FA etc).

yea ive done everything as well, downloaded the app etc cant see anything... can you not just deposit by putting in your 16 digit pin on your visa debit card??!

Algorand cost a few cent and is a fast transfer

Big question is what reaction our american pals will have when they wake up this morning. I can see a further steep dip followed by a small swift recovery. Who knows what direction it will go after that.

The coin who's name shall not be mentioned goes hand in glove with Arbitrum, once it is released gas fees will be a non issue, get your portfolio ready to capitalise.

I haven't used Kraken, so I don't know if it's the same or not, but on Coinbase you can't deposit money with a debit card, you only have the option to outright buy Crypto on the spot. So for example if I wanted to buy €100 worth of BTC I have to actually buy it then and there with the card, I can't just deposit the money into my account. Look around and see if there is an instant buy option or something? Tap on an actual coin and see if there are buy/exchange options.

Nope, I don’t see any option to use my CC to directly buy bitcoin. I might give Frick a go and see what happens.

On crypto.com you can buy with a credit card but without credit card fees (for the first 30 days).

Honestly I feel like a trigger a mass buy in every time I cash out some profit. Cashed out some profit at $45.5k just before midday and of course it's risen since by almost 2k since

Question - do you guys sell the dip and then enter and then enter a buy-limit for the price you sold out at so that you don't drop all the way to oblivion if the market goes that way and if a recovery happens you don't miss out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,185 ✭✭✭✭cnocbui

Sell? Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with this strange word. What does it mean?

I do, its hit or miss if it works to be honest. I dont go fully in with that strategy so if it goes up I have a portion I've gotten cheap but if it goes lower I'm not hurting too bad and can buy back in after on at a lower price.

Any other day that news would send it skyrocketing. Not sure what will happen today :)
