I listened to this - not because I thought it would advance my knowledge on crypto - but because I've not been living in Ireland for a few years and I think these types of interviews can give an indication of where normies are at in their thinking on the subject.
Dunphy made it patently clear that he had no clue ...fair enough...but could he not even have messaged his buddy (the one he referred to as having made a few quid on crypto) and asked him for some counter points to the so predictable criticism? That said, that guy is a dinosaur - most financial folk are at least thawing out a small bit - he didn't show any such progress - he'd have said the same thing in 2017.

If you've got signed up and verified - then stick with Kraken for now. It will only confuse you if you start messing with multiple platforms all at once. You can sepa transfer funds in. Find the deposit page - and if you're struggling, check their support articles or support themselves.

They will tell you that they can't touch your filthy crypto-soiled money because it could potentially have been implicated in money laundering (and if it was, that would be moving in on their territory!!).
Honestly, I'm getting increasingly confident that I will no longer have to take my $ out of the eco-system. There is a yield curve emerging in crypto. There are now (regulated and unregulated) tokenised equities available - tokenised gold, real estate, crypto lending, etc. Naturally, some are still a bit immature and come with risk attached but things are moving incredibly fast now.
To say that I'm bitter about retail banks doesn't even cover it - I want their monopoly gone.

Dodgy stuff but if you play with leveraged trades then you need to be prepared to get burned alive with reckless risk management

I feel sorry for someone who's trying to be responsible and setting stop losses. However, I have no pity for these títs on leverage. That's actually really healthy when they get cleared out - these are the guys that really send the market wayward.

I think if you can't take the 15-30% corrections then you won't get the huge gains.

It's long term for me, the money I have in is not essential so even if there is a crash it should bounce around again

My only disappointment today is that I have no more money to buy the dip

I used Clear Junction. Just do a transfer into the IBAN they give you. Very easy.
No fees.

I had/have the exact same problem. I’m using BOI.

I couldn’t transfer to Bank Frick (maybe because it’s in
Liechtenstein)?

Clear Junction has terrible reviews on google (anybody any issues)?

So I used In Core but that’s a Swiss bank account so not sure if that’s creating a target on my head for revenue.

I’ve been trying to pay by CC just to get started with Kraken but for the life of me I can’t figure it out because I don’t have any option to pay by CC and I have read all the support pages (turning off 2FA etc).
