    I have a 10yr old logitech c120 sitting on a camera tripod
Doesn;t need to be fancy as it's only sitting a foot away from the board

The one I see most recommended is the Logitech C270

    Horrendous throwing by me ha

Coming from someone who can barely average a 40, that's a decent showing :o

Keep practising. I averages in the 30's for a couple of years before I finally started to get better. It's all about practice in darts bar the odd natural.

Do you follow any particular routine you'd recommend?

Not really, I just played lots of games against the CPU or friends. There's no point in just throwing at the board, you need to be 'practicing with a purpose'.

Otherwise than the above I also practiced doubles a lot. A game I played is you start from 121 and have 9 darts to finish it. If you do then move onto 122 etc. Again it's better than just throwing at a double.

Sky Studios and Gaumont have teamed on “The Wasp,” the first Sky original comedy to be produced for Sky Deutschland.

The six-part series follows Eddie Frotzke, a fallen professional dart player who, after a prolonged career slump, wants to return to his former glory. With the help of his old buddy Nobbe, also a rusty dart pro but dealing with a drinking habit, Eddie wants to find his way back into life and his career, proving that he was not called “The Wasp” for nothing.

The series is created and written by Jan Berger (“Der Medicus”) and will be directed by Hermine Huntgeburth (“Neue Vahr Süd,” “Männert”). Florian Lukas (“Good Bye Lenin!”) will play Eddie. Andreas Bareiss and Sabine de Mardt are executive producing for Gaumont with Quirin Schmidt for Sky Studios.

I think your focusing too much on the dart itself when your throwing and not the board so your natural throw is a bit off.

I had a phase like that few years back but managed to adjust my throw and keeping consistent with it by scoring 300 without missing 20's ( if I missed a 20 score I'd reset). Others here might have better advice but it worked for me

when throwing for treble 20,s do u focus ur eyes on the t20 or just fling the dart to make sure to hit 20 or be there abouts the t20?.

I use the tip of the dart as a marker when aiming but focus more on the board also try to keep my feet flat on the ground.

When I say I'm throwing for 20 when doing 300 it's any part of the 20,(treble single or double) just so I can straighten out my throw and get a bit of consistency

do you hit around the same spots on the 20 or is it sporadic spots?

Two quick questions if anyone can clear them up for me!

    1. The likes of Keane Barry and Scott Mitchell who have won money on the tour without having a card, will those earnings be on their ranking come the start of the season or will they start from £0?

    2. Jamie Hughes and Robert Marajanovic are both not partaking in the floor tournaments later this week, will the PDC be pulling from last year's challenge tour order of merit for reserve listing as per I take it?

They do count towards their rankings. As an extreme example of this, Ratajski never actually earned a tour card through Q-School, he did so well on the Pro and European Tour to move into the top 64 so didn't have to go to Q-School.

The backup players are being taken from this years Q-School rankings. I saw the list on Twitter but I can't find it now. Rusty Jake Rodriguez is the top 'backup' player anyway so he'll definitely be in.

First 180 yesterday since getting the new tripod/board at the start of the month. Was throwing lovely. Had hit a few 140s and 100s earlier in the day so felt it was gonna happen. Not my first ever, would have played a bit a few years ago, probably hit around 10/11 in total so still pretty rare.

Of course today I played absolutely ****e haha 26 after 26

Got it from 501 darts. Got a stand, surround and corona lighting ring. Lovely set up. Really impressed with the stand. Rock solid, wobble genuinely not noticeable at all.

Gerwyn Price eases past Lisa Ashton in rd 1

Standard is serious - young Jack Main, one of the new tour card holders needed a 12 dart leg to win one leg against Max Hopp, who averaged 105.5!

Jose de Sousa averaged 110 in his opener

Ciaran Teehan out 6-2 in R1. Adrian Lewis also out in R1. All Top 16 seeds through to R2.

Pro Tour might need it's own thread.
