Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

^This times 100, over xmas there were only two movies I rewatched the original Die hard was one of them. I still can't believe how well it holds up for 1988. There is the one scene I don't like (glass and feet, shudder).

However I've not voted as I'm struggling to separate some epic Joker performances from my love for Hans :D

There is a greatest xmas movie ever contest happening in the xmas forum atm and Die hard got knocked out of it early doors.
I even think Die Hard 2 stayed in longer than it.

What do those people know about Christmas movies?! :pac:

Although to be fair, Die Hard 2 is the second greatest Christmas movie.

I've seen it on in the background but never paid any attention to it. I do realise there is something I'm missing out on according to its popularity on Boards :D

Ah crap, I lost track of the time and didn't get around to voting. Would have been another vote for The Joker anyway, any villain despicable enough to dispatch Hans Gruber is a worthy winner. Thanks for another great game Kolido, it was really good fun.

Great Tournament Kolido, a worthy villain winner played by many in different films, a role that produced two Oscar winners

    Next tournament in the pipeline.

    Greatest Irish no. 1 single

I can do of all time (nominations needed) of by decade (no nominations needed)

    Which is better?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,511 ✭✭✭Purgative

    Either is fine with me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,421 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

I think I will go by decades, at least 80s and 90s

These are about 1600 songs in the whole list so to ask people to nominate 10 from that is a lot of work for everyone.

Those two decades have around 200 songs each so I will get full contest out of each. Hopefully there will be enough interest in it, should have a thread up soon enough.

No need to PM 10 songs, I will be using all the songs that topped the Irish charts during the 80s. I have counted 190 in total though I will double check that.

Can we go back to 1977 :D

Can we include #2's ? Is there a list of annual sales ?

    Here's another list

    And more lists

There's lots of album tracks that may not have charted.

Will stick with the 80s chart toppers for this one :D

There are actually 235, I had counted the UK charts instead of the Irish initially :o

Lots of cross between both as you would imagine.

That is another contest I had thought about, greatest album track, could be one for another day.
