I’m no fan of welsh rugby but it’s not their fault that there were 2 red cards given to their opponents in the first games

Would they have won either game without those reds? Nobody knows and it’s irrelevant now

Yeah, it's just a bit of banter.

The ridiculous hype about Scotland after last week was crazy.
Some of the stuff their players were coming out with was embarrassing, anyone would think they had won the World Cup and the grand slam last weekend.
    Back to reality for them.

The media fawning over Hogg and Russell is unbearable. Russell was brutal last week and many had him down as being a pivotal part of Scotland controlling the game when he really is a liability. The Rugby Union weekly were naming all the Scots that should be on the Lions starting team after 1 game! This is why the Scots can never complain about having no test lions, because they are incredibly inconsistent when it comes to backing up their big performances.

LRZ must have a very sore back after that game

Hogg deserves to be fawned over. He's the best fullback in world rugby. Russel once again showing he can't handle the pressure situations however.

Hope to God Wales don't win the thing. Cannot stand them. Williams is a dirty little scut.

He's a niggly bastard but has class about him also.

e.g. the way that he made the first try for Wales with the pass out.

You'd love him if he was playing for Ireland.

Wales could easily run the table. They've had luck that's difficult to fathom but they've got momentum. LRZ looks like an incredible find, very reminiscent of Stockdale's emergence in 2018. Everything he does is working.

Scotland doing what only Scotland do.

Wales are gonna win the slam.

Only if they play against 14 men every time

If it means Wales think Pivac is the man for the job, I'm ok with this. They were pretty bad, again.

Two and zero though, to be fair. You'd love it were you a Wales fan.

Hope they go Williams at FB with LRZ and Adams back in against England. That looks a tasty back 3.

Finn Russell is box office. I love his attitude. He'll win you games, he'll lose you games but you won't come away un-entertained.

Not a hope they’re as lucky in their last 3 games as they have been in their first 2.

There is no way Wales win a GS. None.

Scotland desperately tried to hand England the game last week but England were too hopeless to take advantage. This week Scotland just made sure.

    Feck sake Scotland.

They've won a game. We haven't. Let's not be too scornful.

It's not probable but it's very possible in my view. They host England in two weeks. England are not great, though with another game into the undercooked Saracens players there might be an improvement from them. Italy in Week 4 is a training run. Then it's one game against France!

Which English player will be getting sent off in two weeks time? :D
What are the odds on it being Owen Farrell? ;)

Probably not but they've won Grand Slams in the past that most thought they'd never win.

Don't bet on it... Italy are cack... England are unfit and misfiring....the French could be a demoralised side by the time they get to play the Welsh...it's not a forgone conclusion at all

England were a lot better today than last week. In 2 weeks they'll be better again. Wales have needed red cards in order to win both games. As long as England don't give them that I can't see Wales beating them. They really aren't that good.

I also have no idea how France could be "demoralised" come the final round. They will likely have won at least 3 games and be playing for the title....

Well that's some bunch of rugby clichés in one short post. Bravo.

Quite a few English players carrying some winter weight....we best France Tomo and who knows where their heads are when the play Wales... plus the Welsh have quite a few injured players to return to the squad...it's definitely not clear cut whatsoever

It's part of the law on the tackled player having to release the ball. By rights, any opposition player that gets their hands on the ball (legally) should get the penalty if the tackled player doesn't release it instantly. But that doesn't happen and so you get the impacts. Some refs are getting better at blowing it up quickly, but they all need to do it all the time.

I agree, the referees need to look at themselves too, the player on the floor can hold on for an age. Generally it will get punished when the poaches survives the first clear out and puts his hands on the floor and it’s a penalty against him. Ball should be presented back and hands away sharpish.

I remember Martin Johnson on the 2001 Lions video saying “put the ball back, trust the boys, they’ll take care of itl. Needs to go back to a similar approach .

Wayne Pivac changed the halfbacks with 30 minutes remaining. It's not often you see it and despite Sheedy missing a relatively easy conversion it seemed to pay off.
