Well just saying they said may 2022 as due to covid it will be slow process so someone got there wires crossed

Spoke to PAS this morning and was told there's no plan to extend the panel as of yet.

Some how I couldn't imagine them emailing everyone. If this were true it would be great news for everyone. I know when I asked in the early days they didn't say yes or no to an extension on this panel but I don't think they really know themselves what is happening.

All communications are through the message board.

Any extensions / amendments to panels will be notified to applicants via the message board. Just like when you get a message when panels have ceased etc.

    Easy send out a message!

Maybe applicants who get a position may not be placed until 2022? Some COs are waiting 6/7 months to be placed at present after getting a job offer.

It’s been a few weeks since I was given my assignment but HR haven’t contacted me yet to let me know a location or estimated start date. The last communication I received was on my PAS message board to let me know I’d been assigned. Is this this usual to not be contacted for few weeks?

We'll see, only time will tell I guess; it would be nice if they extended the panel after May this year for all of us. Fingers crossed.

What does a batch number mean, for instance if your batch 10 and 6 in order of merit , is that bad or good?? So confused

Does anyone know what departments in which a clerical officer would be asked to help organise an event? Just curious about that one!

    All of them!

A farewell morning tea for a colleague is an event.
A stand at an outreach day in the local community centre is an event.
An international conference with a 1000 delegates is an event.

COs would have roles in helping to organise all of the above.

However in the first one, they would be the "project manager", while in the last they would likely be just a helper with a very defined role

That’s perfect thank you. Was just curious if it would a general thing or more likely in some rather than others, but as you say it depends I suppose.

Just received my interview results. Placed OOM 19 in Batch 20 for Dublin. So happy that I passed. Fingers crossed I get placed.

Also received results after interviewing on Friday - not used to a quick turnaround from PAS!

Placed 5th on the OOM for Dublin, but I am currently a TCO and have requested to remain where I am, so hopefully that is accepted and someone else on the OOM will be offered the 5th job instead.

I interviewed last Tuesday and received my results today. In batch 20 and placed with an oom 35. The process has gone quite quick from being advised of an interview so im taking this as positive.

I'm OOM mid-2000s and I was never given a batch number... Are you only given a batch number if you're a smaller number OOM or is there somewhere I can find my batch no.?

They give you a batch number and new OOM once you pass your interview.

So some good newstoday. I've just received an email saying I am now being considered for a role with AGS, can anyone shed any light on what this would be like?

Also I don't know if I should tell my current employer yet as I'm aware the vetting process can take some time, anyone have advice on this?

I def wouldn't tell my current employer until I had a formal offer and a start date.

Don't say anything until you have signed the contract and have a specific starting date.

You normally get a months notice re your date so that should give you plenty of time to let your current employer know.

Did anyone receive confirmation today that PAS are extending the panel until 2022? Few people on here said they were told this last week

I was told Friday that they've no plans to extend it. Two other posters say they were told it is being extended. Wires crossed somewhere!

They have to reach your number on the panel but I don't think they interview unless they have a position for you to begin with, I could be corrected on that.

I would love that to be true or are they batch interviewing again, especially for the hse and customs panels mentioned.
Congrats to everyone on their results.

Are batches specific to a particular job/campaign? Eg say expressions of interest for customs, are the jobs offered to all batches once interview has been passed, or only people who expressed interest regardless of their batch or OOM?

I was thinking that would be way to do it but they've asked for references. I've been in my current job 7+ years so I think they would get a big fright if they got a call without me making them aware of the situation.

I'm just overthinking about how I should go about this as I know nothing is concrete yet.

    Hi all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Applied for CO on the 2020 campaign. Got an email maybe a fortnight ago for an expression of interest for CO with the HSE in Galway. Interviewed for it this afternoon but I'm
just wondering if anyone knows what kind of numbers went for it?

Good question, do you get a new number specifically for HSE or customs based on your interview. Is this unusual, I've never heard of this before.
