"We have a very small team".

    3 producers
    1 sound man
    1 persenter

And the grand total of usually only 1 'researcher/telephonist'

Hmmm, would that note void the cheque?

Of course it would. But not many people who check the cheques for dates, amounts, stops and signatures would not know what a drawers initials look like.:p

Only if it were ascertained that the squiggle was NOT the issuer's squiggle, and that would be difficult.
Where it might fall down is if the issuer (by agreement) issued a post-dated cheque and the payee decided to act the smart man by altering the date.

No, but Ryanair could shut down Duffy. We can only hope.

In their hearts these travel agents and duffy are of the same mind, that air travel should remain the preserve of the upper middle classes and that cheap airflight should be kept beyond the reach of the riff-raff

Do we want to go back to de era when I paid £175 return in 1993 for a flight to Newcastle. That's Irish punts.

But but you got a free newspaper and a lovely fry ( or was the flight too short) and the lovely girls got a rest in a 5 star hotel. The plane also got to cool down for a few days. Oh , and a good clean. Your money was well spent.

I've flown alot on SouthWest and Jet Blue internally in the US, they're a million miles away from Ryanair.

So I believe, met a Chicago guy whose quadriplegic wife used to travel with Jet Blue no problems at all.

And yet theres still plenty of people still travelling. All you need to do is say you have to look after a sick relative and you're let through.

Dublin Airport Official: And will you self isolate for 2 weeks when you get there?
    Traveller: I will yeah.
