They are too naive to see it. The fact they are talking about double digit euro profits sums it up.

Where is best to follow the drama. Coindesk reported that Justin Tron is backing WSB on Reddit and there are rumours of a Stellar pump.

Justin Sun is leeching off the bandwagon, he is "in" with the WSB to draw attention to and boost Tron (which reacted heavily).

Just seen that Elon Musk Was interviewrd on Clubhouse

    Summary of interview here
    https://techcrunch.com/2021/01/31/elon-musk-goes-live-on-clubhouse-but-with-the-room-full-fans-stream-audio-on-youtube/

He started interviewing Robinhood founder at one stage
    Quote
“Vlad The Stock Impaler” was brought into the Clubhouse room to talk about the Game Stop phenomenon. It turned out this was the actual CEO fo CEO of Robinhood.

“Vlad” (or rather Vlad Tenev, CEO of Robinhood) made a rambling attempt to explain what happened last week but was interrogated by Musk (things getting slightly surreal at this point).

    Musk then turned interviewer:

BNB doing steadily well. New ATH. Called this one a long time ago, it actually has somewhat of a use case (fees), and the yield is good with "earn" (so far I'm at nearly 10% in 6 months). Risks: a big exchange hack or tougher regulation, but I diversified into some other exchange coins to mitigate that somewhat. Usually disclaimer: could go down for no reason because crypto

Thanks, I think Vlad gave a decent account of what really happened considering how technical some of that stuff can be. Good questions by Elon and good remarks in there.

If you can, check out Paul Somerville's interview on the Brendan O Connor show. He slaughtered Robinhood , I think it was on Sunday Mornings show. Was a really good summing up of it from someone who works in Trad Finance.

the volume on these exchanges is pretty amazing

1inch is looking pretty impressive. I sold the free tokens that Binance gave me, I never even checked out what it was, just assumed it was thrash.

I see he's saying he will be off Twitter 'for a while'. Wouldn't surprise me if he comes back with a bang with some sort of Crypto announcement.

When BTC peaked last week, I tried to realised some of it by trading for ETH.
I've been expecting ETH to bounce and placed a ETH/BTC order at +19%.
Looks like it could hit that today. But starting to second guess that decision.:P

I haven't really attempted to do short term trades for gains before. But the BTC/ETH pair makes more sense to me rather than for $/T. They way you hold on for when they gain $ value in tandem, and cash in on a relative surge between he two.

Interest to know if that makes sense to the guys you trade more regularly.

An interesting sh?tshow of an episode where Peter McCormack ('What Bitcoin Did' podcast) apparently doesn't know why BTC exists and had to look up what fungibility meant. Fairly shameful performance.

Dont say you did not know when they moon .

Tether on dodgy ground, may not have the $$$ to back up Tether, being investigated by US gov, at same time US gov gives green light for stable coins.
Enter the big boys, old and intuitional money, and their stable coin of choice is Paxos, PayPal use Paxos as custodians of their crypto, Societe Generale,Credit Suisse and Instinet are beginning to use Paxos for settling U.S. securities trades.
Some equity trades that are now being settled on a blockchain system created by Paxos
Paxos will use Chainlink for Proof of Reserve data feeds that attest to the off-chain reserves backing PAX.
Huge for Chainlink, it will become the de facto way to show your stable coin is solvent.

China’s Blockchain-Based Service Network to Integrate Central Bank Digital Currency
    coindesk.com/chinas-blockchain-based-service-network-to-integrate-central-bank-digital-currency
This is using Chainlink, a Chinese Government digital currency!!!!! as they say back up the truck and buy with both hands.

Now for a potential moonshot, the moon of Jupiter!
Large rise in BTC could be because of Biden and the Dems, good chance they will print $$$ till the cows come home, Dems in Cali want to tax people 3 years after they leave Cali, could similar be rolled out nation wide by Biden?
So how do you hide you money from the Dems, you can put into Crypto but It can still be tracked, so you can use Monero to hide your wealth, problem is i dont see big money trusting this.
Enter Suterusu, shield.suterusu.io/, you can use your ETH or ERC-20 token, transfer it with Suterusu and it cant be tracked, only you the sender will know where it has gone.
The potential here is huge, a total game changer, current Market Cap $5.5m, $0.003397 at the moment, volume up 20% in 24 hours as they just launched Suter Shield v1, well worth picking up a bag, could easily be a 100x if all goes well.

Your Suterusu is up 116% today to $0.0065. Nice one. I picked up a bit at $0.003

I actually converted some of my BTC to ETH last night funnily enough. I hadn't really been paying attention to the rises recently and was surprised when I went into Coinbase and saw that ETH was up 114% in the last month. Of course now that I have converted some BTC to ETH I fully expect ETH to crash and BTC to soar, as per my usual luck. :P

(Note: I don't do trades regularly and my investments are peanuts compared to many of the people in here so I'm not really the type of person you were looking for with your comment, just thought I'd share my small attempt at trying to maximise what I can.)

Was trying to exchange some Axion dust in meta mask and the gas fees are so high it wasn’t worth doing :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,016 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

Eth has done 1100% or more in the last 10 months meaning a net opportunity cost loss when investing in alts and moonshots that have done e.g. 5x. Not that I'm complaining, it's just a funny scenario to be in.

Where do you even buy that?

I bought it on Kucoin. After Dirk posted about it I looked it up and the fundamentals look solid. It's still early dev and a bit patchy, but these are the opportunities you look for in a potential moonshot, so I reckoned it was definitely worth a small punt. The Kucoin registration was quick and painless. I just transferred over some $BTC from my main exchange account and bought with that. I withdrew it easy and cheap enough to my mobile Trust wallet so I didn't have to worry about it being left on an exchange that I don't really use. They were involved on a podcast yesterday with Chainlink, so that explains the pump. Still holding steady though, so the devs didn't do a massive dump (yet).

McCormack really grinds my gears. I don't mind that he's not technical - that's not an issue. It's the fact that he constantly interrupts his guests and starts talking about himself or stuff that indulges his ego but adds no value that I can't stand.

Grayscale seem to be behind this ETH increase. They apparently have purchased nearly 25,000 ETH over the previous 24hr period.

They re-opened access to their $ETH Trust which had been closed out for a while.
