Obviously they're having issues today so I presume it'll all balance out. Just not sure If im getting my Link back or the Euros I sold at

Happened to me before, they are having connection problems, I'd say leave it for now. One transaction took 2 hours to show up.

Threw some crypto dust (around 30 quid) into Voyager VGX at the beginning of the month, now its 440 quid. It's some sort of crypto purchasing platform (like crypto.com), doing pretty well for now.

Coinbase & Kraken currently not able to fulfill Bitcoin orders.

New interest, or a shortage of corn?

When Dogecoin returns to some kind of normality I am going to be stacking that sh1t every week.

I imagine BTC is going to jump up and down in the 31,000 to 35,000 range for a while. Can't see a big move away from it now. So I think I will take another stake on the lower end of that scale. I think my hopes of a big crash are just not going to happen anytime soon and I just want to increase my holding and take a break from all the excitement.
It's great how a simple tweet from our Elon Musk God can send everything flying. Oh to have the power lol.

No guarantees but if you're looking for a dip, the run up to the Chinese New Year (12th Feb) may present an opportunity.

Why would you buy the meme coin that doesn't claim to do anything or have any "partnerships"?

last year the day before Chinese New Year there was a sell off and immediately it went on a nice run before the 13th March

I think we wont see anything near ATH for BTC until mid March

Because it appeals to the low-information investorperson
    • You can buy "a lot" of it
    • Elon tweets about it occasionally
    • It does about as much as most other coins out there
    • It's on a lot of exchanges
    • It's gone on crazy runs before (the "it could do it again" fallacy which ironically causes runs)
    • 99% of buyers are never going to use these coins for anything but trying to make real-world money
    • It's been around for a "long time" in crypto

(In my opinion) all of this is just a game where we are trying to guess where the herd will pile their money into next, it could be something "solid", it could be something stupid.

Thanks for typing out my answer for me, yeah it will be just a case of leaving a few k sitting there until it decides to double again then sell, not expecting anything more like I am with eth.

Anyone know much about the Orchid (oxt) project?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,023 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

Anyone know much about the Orchid (oxt) project?

    Crypto powered VPN.

In terms of actual use - anyone can pay in seconds for a VPN with Paypal or whatever, but Orchid are using the hook of you "only pay for when you use the VPN instead of a monthly sub", however payment system looks fiddly and complex, not sure people will be into that. And I don't know why it can't be done via cash with a fluctuating monthly charge.

Once they provide their service, what's next? crypto projects generally need to be in perpetual development in order to keep creating "hype" in order to keep luring buyers to the tokens (where the projects make the real money). A project with a finished product doesn't seem to be a good thing in. Decent sized team, listed on Coinbase, market is irrational, who knows.
