Sexton and Rankin are only second year in the academy, so both have another year, agree that you would expect McIlroy to be moved to a Development deal.

Who will be leaving at the end of the season? In final year?

    Houston is gone

Baloucoune seemed reasonably robust until his freak accident, so provided he comes back as good as before, I think we can be reasonably happy with our wing stocks.

It's hard to believe neither he nor Addison has lined out once this season.

KOTH was saying Allison was falling behind.

Aye was commenting on that, could really do with him progressing. He was good at u20s.

He’d be better just writing this season off and rehab/bulk. Come back fresh, we can’t really be giving up on backrows, especially 8s.

McCann and Allison are the other third year academy players. Hard to know with Allison what will happen.

Stewart Moore also, unless he's alteady on a development contract?

From the previous year, Dalton, Regan, Dunleavy and Graham Curtis all disappeared without trace.

On a Development contract this season and I am pretty sure it was announced he moves to a two year senior deal next season, definitely development this year anyway.

Yeah, I thought I remembered that

    Ireland call ups

    OToole, Herring, Henderson, Burns, McCloskey.

    Stockdale unavailable with knee issues.

Pretty underwhelming with Cooney & OSullivan missing out. Almost pointless McCloskey going to hold tackle bags as well.

Ulster Twitter hinting at a new signing or a contract renewal?

    Hopefully a new signing!

Though good news like that normally follows a beating.

*Edit Robert Baloucone signs for two years

2 years is a short enough contract for him.

Think 2 years is the norm...they sometimes tie big players down for 3 years.

I remember back in the day Roger Wilson getting a six year contract!

Big enough gamble considering his recent injury. 2 years seems standard enough now adays.

Our game vs Leinster at Ravenhill has been scheduled for during the Six Nations. The Pro14 is incredible.

surely favours ulster massively given leinster will be missing nearly 20 players.

    True Ulster fan.

McKendry saying potentially one more signing to be announced!

Wasn’t sure Marshall would get another contract, with so much talent coming and his injury profile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,120 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

Yeah - I actually thought he might miss out. Still our best 13, but so rarely fit.

Injury profile won’t have done him in any favours in negotiations.

Guess it gives us 3 senior centres in McCloskey/Addison/Marshall.

With Moore & Hume steadily increasing.

Curtis could be in bother and bound to be interest in Hyde.

Aaron Sexton til 2023. Must be first full contract, then? You don't get multi-year development contracts, do you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,538 ✭✭✭launish116

Sexton upgraded contract to stay till 2023.

Website saying one year development and then one year on a senior deal.
