Told Mrs Nick about this thread, then went out to see no snow. Anyway, a few minutes later she starts screaming in from the kitchen "its snowing ... its SNOWING". So eejit here runs out to see it, only to find Mrs N cackling madly in the corner. But no snow :(:(:(.

She's gone to bed, but hopefully there's a handful of snow going to join her shortly.

Radar was showing precip for nearly 90 minutes here earlier before it actually snowed. 5km south of Tuam.
Had similar experience near Castlebar earlier while waiting for the precipitation to arrive. When the snow was falling heavily then later on, the radar showed that this area was clear of any precipitation and that the front was well passed us to the east.

Do you not get bored of this?

Bored of what? Reporting what's actually happening? Would you prefer if I posted that my sister said it was snowing and it was settling.

In the end barely a sprinkling on the roof of the car in Celbridge. Hardly worth the effort.

If anyone in West Dublin wants snow and has €300 in crisp €50 notes, I can guarantee you a car roof full of snow anytime before 1am. Green lights all the way, feather throttle.
Actually, €500. €100 for the Garda Covid toll each way.

Your kids will love you. Or your neighbours kids.

    Very underrated post :D

Yes it looks like Dublin will be fortunate tonight and miss out on the snow. May get a small flurry here and there but looks like it'll get lucky and miss out altogether. Still, it's very cold out tgere

Well that suggests the Wicklow Mts. are playing a large role and it's not just all down to the radar?? and the angle it is heading towards Swords at is bypassing this as to the SW of Swords is lowland all the way.
