Would really like to see this talked about 'decoupling' from BTC with other coins happening now. Certainly looks like a lot of the alt coins/eth/defi are talking back gains at a much better rate than BTC atm.

PITA that when BTC was rising it didn't seem to drag all the coins, yet when it drops everything tanks  Anyway, I choose to believe the famed 'alt season' is here :)

Eth has done 10x since March (and BTC has done enormously well) so I think that's slowing any full "alt season" (apart from the new Defi coins) down to a cautious crawl.

No idea what happens next, but it would be nice to see a proper FOMO alt run at some stage this year.

LINK regaining its drop is very reassuring to me. No reason it should directly correlate to BTC so closely surely, so yeah hopefully there's a bit of uncertainanty/cautiousness that's driving it and that starts to weaken as time goes on.

Ideally (personal preference) I'd like to see BTC sit around €30k for a while and hopefully that would give people the confidence/patience to let some coins with completely different use cases have their time.

Not really unless you have 100k to invest.

The top 10 cryptos only have 10xd from March. You could have got the same gains from likes of nio and tesla.

Not hardly ground breaking. The millionaire money is in the mid to low cap alts

Need to be fairly ballsy dropping 10k in a low / mid cap alt hoping for it to go 100x!

Sure look at all the folks with massive money in zil. Some brave ones out there.

    That's mid cap to me.

Some people believe the future intent of the market can be predicted from studying the chart of a traded asset. I think it's called technical analysis. That is what I beleive was being referred to - suposedly identifiable patterns, like that formed by tea leaves in the bottom of a cup.

As surprisingly few chartists become billionaires, I personally have my doubts.

There have been many ETH killers in the last few years, so far none have done the job.
Zil is one of these, it has implemented sharding, something ETH has failed to do, if ETH 2.0 does not get up and running soon, we could see a exodus from the platform.
Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Ethereum is pretty adamant that ETH is at a dead end and cant evolve, now admittedly he is shilling for Cardano, but its not to much to believe he is correct, and Zil would be one of those who could step in as a successor, already has some nice partnerships.
I believe its well worth picking up a bag and staking.

Have noticed the last few months to a year a "link" between BTC and Chainlink, when BTC pumps LINK crabs sideways, when BTC dumps LINK Pumps, could it be whales are pumping BTC then dumping BTC to move into LINK?
Seems to be every other day Chainlink announces another partnership, could be the top performer for 2021?

Were you more excited yesterday when the price was 10% less? I’m not sure you and the rest of us see the same price action.

You don’t need the price to go 10x to make 10x.
The point was about it being easy money if you know what is going to happen, which nobody does.

I’m not sure what you’d have needed to invest in March to make $1m, a lot less than 100k though
You could have got the same gains from likes of nio and tesla.

You could. Also requires the same Crystal ball.
Less opportunities to trade volatility though

I would have just thought this is the regular flow of liquidity from BTC to Alts and back again. It's not the only driver in these markets, but certainly one.

Grayscale are making an announcement tomorrow. Probably a new $LINK trust.

30 day chart for Eth, what a pattern, almost identical each time, very interested to see if it repeats again or does something wild

All time chart looks like its watching to double the ATH like BTC did, that's why I'm only trading with a few play coins not my whole stack.

    Sell it to us.
Why stake ADA over any of the others?

I like ADA without staking so figured may as well stake it and get a little extra back makes sense if you plan on holding for the long term. 20% of the profits from the pool go to charity too so it's for a good cause which is a nice touch. Anyone involved in crypto should obviously have a bit of a diversified holding overall and I think ADA makes a sensible addition to holding others and holding and not staking is kind of like buying dividend stocks and not taking the dividend it's pretty straight forward getting money in and out and it's not at any more risk than normal as it's in a separate wallet you don't need to send it to anywhere or anyone random.

Sorry, think I wasn’t clear. I went why stake ADA with that pool over any of the others?

    How are rewards split.
    What are the pool stats.
What experience doesn’t the pool operator have.
    How is node maintained etc.

These are the questions that people staking will look at imo.

Ah right I get you lol! Currently fees are 340 per epoch with 0% margin to try get things going and to try attract people in so fees are lower than they generally are. Theres two people behind it one has the technical background and had a career in IT and now has a few crypto related interests behind the scenes who is taking care of the so has lots of similar experience including running nodes etc. That's about all I know I'm just in the pool not a pledge or anything so only really know the basics was just curious if anyone had any success in bringing anyone in in any way really.

Stacking more sat's, I think BTC is a bit lower ratio when comparing to ETH atm.
