Nice picking by Liz, mighty fine combo of Rock/Owen/Balor there - there's actually a ridiculous amount of top class picks left it's insane even after two rounds.

Got my pick I wanted again just about , so happy to have the Cleaner for the 2nd year in a row

Accidentally posted the Ric Flair post a second time! Delighted to get Tully and Arn, two men that have been high on my list every year but I never get to draft. Very excited with the plans I have for them this year.

I'd say BH is tucked up in bed so that might be it draft wise till the morning given the time difference :)

They go hand in hand with Flair, though last year I opted not to draft them last year and create the Undisputed Horsemen. Faultless tag team.

    God I miss Flair already.

Page and Omega going saddens me but I never had a chance of getting them this round. Both should have went earlier IMO (1 and 2 this round rather than 2 and 3). Both are the present and future of wrestling main events. Page is one of my favs lately and hes destined for the top. Great picks.

Once I got Stone Cold I was desperate to get Page, had I received a bad draw in round 3 I would have no chance as you point out. Though I'm glad I got some respite given DIY and Owen Hart fell from my grasp so late on in Round 2. :D I've got some crazy stuff in mind for the two of them.

A deceptively difficult round, a lot of wrestlers will move onto round 4 criminally.

I see no connection between Austin and Page... none what so ever. So many people assuming they have something in common just angers me, it would drive a man to drink.

Hoping Omega would last was always a long shot, some really great rosters taking shape!

Time to rejig somethings on my end!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,298 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Ballsy call from Bounty there....a man with a definite plan.:D

I’m sure there were a few people who had him in mind, he was one of only 2/3 I was considering when I saw my early draw for this round but I’m very happy to get Vince again. He made my roster so much more appealing to write for last year and means I can have story continuity if I choose despite 3 new wrestlers already at the top of my card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,800 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Not my first choice but Vince was on my list this round.

How can you not want to book Vinnie Mac

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Yadiel Teeny Logging

There'll be no continuity from 2DW, we've moved territory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,057 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

I’ve had Vince a couple of years. Easily the most writable character in wrestling history.

    Always a killer pick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,809 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

    Pick made and PM sent.

Things coming together nicely now. I had the rough outline of an idea, but struggled to find the right wrestler to make it work. Then I hit upon Darby Allin and he's perfect for what I have in mind. Maybe I could have waited a round on him, but I didn't want to take the chance.

Great pick Guappa. He was on my list for a potential storyline

Torn between two picks currently. Hoping one is taken off the table for me...

*Waits for both to be taken*

    :pac:

Was torn between 3 and the biggest name prevailed

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 52,995 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Considered Sting, but wasn't in the top two choices I have in my mind presently... which means...

Woo hoo I'll get one anyways!! :D

Sting was my third choice this round. Loads available but with me being last I have to lower my expectations of who can last until then.

Non-Draft question. I haven't really watched much wrestling the last couple of years, especially since Sky Sports lost Raw & Smackdown but I hadn't enjoyed WWE for quite a while before that. Where & when is AEW on TV over here? NFL season is almost over and with the Draft on I wouldn't mind giving it a look.

ITV4 have Dynamite on a Friday night, usually around 11.

    Sorry lads :P

Was toing and froing on it but I've never had her in the draft before so I pulled the trigger

Yeah over the first four rounds your average placing is 6.5 - which is really, really good! (Though probably not for the average order round :pac: )

Anything 8.5 or below is usually a sign of a good draw.

Remind me how many rounds is there and how many shows are we writing?

Will probably need a link to the previous year just so I can get a grasp of what is done. :pac:

    That was tough.

    Delighted though.

Love that trio, such a smart way to bring in some many different main event level possibilities with all 3 from either direct match, mentorship angles, manager angles. Excellent pick.

Sorry for delay, just had to check something with Necro.

These guys were on my list and after seeing the round 4 stip and where I was, I couldn't chance them not making there way down to me.

Will send the PM off now

Lads I’m give you the heads up on my intentions in a couple of picks.

I must say it’s definitely injecting a lot of fun into it for me.

NOW DISCO INFERNO!!!!! NOW’S YOUR CHANCE TO SHINE AND BECOME THE TRUE HERO OF PW BOARDS!!!!

Sorry folks, I’m telling you all know that my first place vote has already been secured.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,057 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

    Eh excuse you Crab.

Disco is already a PW boards legend.

    ....He’s mine anyway :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

Should have my pick up in about a half hour. Doubt I can compete with Disco though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,433 ✭✭✭NITRO95

I have unironically enjoyed Disco Inferno on my podcast (@WCWThunderPod on twitter) but jaysus I never imagined he would be drafted in the third last never mind third round of the draft. Go watch Halloween Havoc 98 and you'll see Disco at his best in 2 very enjoyable matches

Great picking Shag and can't wait to see what your final roster ends up being

I actually got Disco Inferno as a 'dud' pick in my very first draft - one of the stips was to pick a mystery box or something like that along with your normal pick.

Had so much fun with him I actually drafted him for reals the following year :D

The Keepin It 100 lads are an entertaining podcast; half take piss half legitimate and alternative criticism.

I listen to them more now than I would of Conrad's fleet of podcasters.

    Yes teh Simpsons themed draft.

    The Box....The Box.

Goldberg was the other name I had in my mind beside Becky, two very different paths I know :)

Was sort of hoping he might slip into Round 4 but knew it wasn't very likely :D

Had Big Billberg in my first draft and I enjoyed him. Has star power, even to this day hes booked strong and will be a nice contrast to the others in your fed Brad.

Ah that was my first year in the draft and got Captain Lou (I think was his name?) who ended up being my Manager of my Anoa'i Family stable!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,298 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Dayum....Vader was one of the deviants I had shortlisted for the next round.

Mind you given my placing and barring Walt and me being mind melded I think I'll get my no. 1 pick. :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

Love the Vader pick, brings legit toughness to any roster. Super flexible to use too. Happy to have Goldberg, don't think I've ever used him before. I almost took Batista instead of Bryan in round 1 so happy that Bill should fulfill a similar role.

Delighted to get Terry Funk and have multiple ideas and directions I can go with him
