We are seeing in America right now the damage that conspiracy theories can do.

I think some posters need to be mindful of this when they put something out onto the Web which they claim as truth without knowing for real..... Or even something as simple as passing the lie on....
"on the net" is a general term. I have no idea why you thought they meant boards specifically.

    "Some posters" ...

Fantasists should be more worried about what they consume and think to be true, we only need to look at he flock of sheep yesterday to see what the ramifications are.

Apparently conspiracy theorists and Trumpists are trying to pull the laziest CT in history and make up a narrative that it was actually Antifa going into the chamber..

In which case it's real pity that so many of the Trump supporters took photos and filmed themselves inside the premises, including newly elected Republican lawmaker Derrick Evans.

    Obviously fraudulently elected.

I don't think it's purposefully lazy or crap.
Trump and other conspiracy merchants like to keep their claims open and vague for specific reasons.
It leaves their claims open to interpretation so that they are acceptable to a wide range of people.
For example, by insinuating that there's a cabal working against him, but not specifying who, lets the audience fill in the gaps.
For a moderate supporter it could mean "He's just talking about the democrats, media and business interests."
For a more hardcore conspiracy theorist, they can take it to mean: "he's talking about the Deep State as predicted by Qanon."
For others: "He's talking about the Jews."

It's a tactic most of the scam artists are applying these days. Lets their crap sell to a wider audience while also avoiding problematic implications.
Sure it leaves the believers who swallow the crap without a coherent belief system that stands up to any level of questioning, but that's not their problem.

Not a single “Trump supporter” stood in defense of our nation with the police. Did Trump have no supporters in DC? Was the woman who died Antifa or a Hero? It cannot be both. I’ve been hearing this whacko idea all day, and I cannot be more incensed than I have already been the last 24 hours.

The only query I have right now is has Trump already been 25th’d.

Only the President Pro Tempore and House Speaker need be informed of the action. From there, the Congress has 48 hours to convene the matter and it eventually goes to a 2/3rd vote (but we are inside the 20 day window where even without the threshold Trump could never be in power again if the House etc. simply refused to hold the vote, letting the timeline run out to Jan 20)

The risk of letting him jump back on Twitter and issue an order 66 to his most radical supporters/terror cells would be hard to surmount. I think this is why Pence and the cabinet ordered the Guard deployed instead of Trump. I think that’s why his video message was pre-recorded, even with the “I still won” it was good enough to print to get people to disperse.

Not in the way you think. Ideas that are rooted in fantasy, delusion or dishonesty are not deserving of tolerance.

But to those that believe them , they arent rooted in fantasy , delusion etc...

If you cannot allow people to have different opinions with resorting to labelling them with the buzz words, tin foil hat/con theorist/deluded etc , well then its not worth dealing with.

Just because YOU think YOU are right, doesnt mean the other person is wrong.

By Trump. He organized it. He told them where to go. He said he was going with them, once the stampede was told where to go he slinked off and laughed from his basement.

I don't think I'm right. The conspiracy theory industry is rooted in dishonesty, no matter how many times they're proved wrong they just roll it into the next one. When they have a track record that bad, their opinions are worthless. Take the theme of this thread, what do you think is most likely: a massive conspiracy involving both political parties, multiple levels of the judiciary, public officials across state and local levels and god knows who else were involved in a massive conspiracy or a conspiracy theorist who has a track record of being a compulsive liar and crying fraud, then promising evidence which is never delivered, is yet again bullsh!tting. Which do you think I will believe?

The problem is when these people present these delusions and fantasies as fact. On public forums. There is nothing wrong with challenging these notions.

These people are often exposed as completely wrong when rational scrutiny is applied.

But like, there were legitimate concerns about the election..that they weren't listened to led to yesterday..

That sort of viewpoint doesn't seem to be held by many around these parts..

The funny thing is, Overheal spent the entire summer last year saying rioting was great altogether..

One was a large scale protest movement that was primarily peaceful and has been recognised as such. Yesterday was an attempted insurrection and not a protest. It was encouraged by the President and that's the reality, that's why his staff are resigning en masse.

They’ve been listened to for 2 months.

    Safe harbor was December 8
The electors met on December 14
Congressman were speaking to their very concerns as they broke into the building! How can you say they haven’t been listened to?

    There are no legitimate concerns.

Trump's claims about the election are baseless and have been demonstrated as such through the courts and election officials.

Trump however has continued to lie to his base about the elections and directly incited them to move on the Capitol building, which is what they did.

Let's also leave aside the fact that what happened yesterday started with a sitting President addressing a crowd with dishonest statements (this crowd was made up of believers in what is possibly the dumbest of all conspiracy theories), and telling them they have to take the power back from people who were confirming the results of a recent election, the election was questioned but no evidence was presented. Then you had people replacing the US flag with a Trump flag, I think calling it a insurrection is generous, more like the release of pent up expectations from a cult like group.

As the saying goes, you are entitled to your opinion but not your facts.

What concerns are you refering to and why weren't they brought up during the 60+ lawsuits?

Or are you refering to the documented cases of voter fraud that only seem to involve one republican voter and the president himself trying to influence the results?

Remember God is still in control, he is using Trump just like he used Saul which became Paul in the new testament. God will give Trump a second term.

Yup, keeping it vague is one of their tactics as it avoids accountability and having to produce evidence. How many times have we seen vague, seemingly non-commital "I don't know, everyone can agree that Biden's win just seems sketchy". When challenged on it, they can fall back on the defence that they never actually made any hard claims or accusations, and don't need any evidence or justifications. Yet the accusation remains and can sow doubt.

How do you believe Trump will maintain control given that he has lost the election?

Please explain how you think Trump will be president, explain the process of what will happen that results in Trump staying in office.

If you cannot explain this then you are proving to all that you are just telling lies and your baby jesus doesn't like people who tells lies, lies are Satan's words right?

At the moment behind the scenes those working for Trump, including the military are putting all the evidence together. This will be coming out before January 20th. Those controlling the media are in full panic mode, censoring discussion on line and will be creating their narrative of an attempted coup. It will result in many arrests and from what I gather the corruption in the Vatican will also be part of what's coming. Other than that I'm not going to say any more.

Who is working for Trump? What are they doing behind the scenes? What are they planning to do with the military. It sounds like you're hoping for a violent military coup of an unelected religious dictator.

Why haven't they produced the evidence at any of the 60 plus lawsuits they throw out?
Why did they not produce this evidence on the 6th? Other conspiracy theorists were telling us that the 6th was the day everything would come out, but nothing did at all.

Were the Trump supporters who stormed the building real or were they part of the conspiracy?
Other than that I'm not going to say any more.
No, I think the reason you're not saying more is because you don't have any more.
You're pulling this stuff out of your arse.

Why are you making stuff up and lying? Doesn't the Bible say something about that?

So when none of this comes to fruition will you come back here and apologise for lying or will you come up with some silly story about how satan thwarted them or how it's been "put on hold"?

One final point, one of the main pieces of evidence is the breaking of the algorithms. Biden got 64million votes and Trump got 80 million, which was 6million more than they were expecting. This caused the voting to be shut down late in the night, which resulted in the massive vote dumps. This will be coming out later this week. The mass produced media and big tech have been censoring this since the election, but it's about to be blown wide open soon.
