Can get 7 out for the BGW without a hit. Torn to go ahead with my FH plan or hold. Would have preferred the fixture change not to have happened. Currently:

    Pope, Johnstone
    Dallas, Robertson, Justin, Balbuena, Cancelo
    Salah, Son, Soucek, Fernandes, Raphinha
    Adams, Bamford, Wood

Would then go Salah to KDB
    Adams to Watkins

If Stones was nailed I'd get him in too for Justin for a hit

If I can get 8/9 players starting I am going to try and keep my FH.
You are annoyingly on the cusp of that with 7 starting. Given that you have planned two transfers the week after gw18 any -4 would mean another -4 the following week. So on balance I would day keep your FH.

But if Cancelo does not start gw18 suddenly you are only fielding 6 players in gw18!

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    Cheers for the reply :)

Yeah I really don't know. I'd probably be booking Son to Salah too.

I'll see what Pep says today. I'm really 50 50

I know I’ve brought in Stones with DGW19 in mind, however you are playing with fire if you are assuming your City assets are starting for the BGW.

Could easily end in disaster. I’m going ahead with FH and ensuring I’ve bench cover should Pep roulette strike that week.

Interesting on the Cavani ban running into the cups. Too many variables for us to ponder these days!

We have to earn our crust. I preferred the days you just picked Pires, Henry and Lampard with fodder all around!

Not forgetting Grealish is on 4 yellow, and a 5th means he misses a game.

The game was way easier in those days. No chips except for captain. No fellas going on about XG's and underlying stats.

Part of me is very tempted to get Cavani when his ban is up. But will Ole try and 'shield him' and bring him back into the team gradually. Would he start him v Fulham?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I forgot about that. I was considering taking him out for El Ghazi to free up funds anyway but that has made my mind up.

Jeez we're going pre-trinity days even lol! Ruud was a mainstay in my side in the early days once it switched to fpl. The 1st is a good time to reminisce!

Its my biggest concern at the moment. Why is it that Cavani's suspension spreads among all competitions but 5th yellow cards do not? Are cup yellow cards not counted in the 5 yellows this year?

Juan Pablo Angel still fills me with fond memories when he went on a great run at Villa..think I've played every year since it started. Was in college 00-04 and think it was one of those years it kicked off

Dunno think it was Scorpian that said it in the other thread.

My head is absoloutely melted looking at transfers, i am happy enough with my squad have 2m ITB and 2 free transfers

Below is my current squad gives me 6 at the minute for GW 18 and 11 for DGW 19

    McCarthy Johnstone
    Chilwell Justin Stones Cancello KWP
    Grealish Salah Bruno Son Soucek
    DCL Bamford Adams

Thinking below as i really want to get Aguero but i also want to keep 15 players and no fodder to cover me through any postponements even though it is a selection headache.

    A. DCL, Soucek --> Aguero, Smith Rowe
    B. DCL, Johnstone, Justin --> Aguero, Holding, Forster
    C. DCL, Justin --> Aguero, Strujik/Mitchell
    D. Justin, Chilwell --> Dias, Maguire

Leaning towards A but will City attack click i dont know so option D would be a good back up one for Blank & Double with triple City defence and United defence coverage for their favourable fixtures

Personally I would look at getting DCL out for Vardy. Maybe downgrade Chilwell for a west ham defender. Or downgrade grealish to Rafina.
Are you looking to BB in gw 19?

If ya really want Aguero i think C is the best option and pick Strujik.

I have toyed around with getting Aguero in now and my head is fried - If Jesus is out and say Torres as is being reported - would Aguero be likely to start against Chelsea?

He has 15 goals against Chelsea including two hattricks. In fact he's never score more against any other team. hmmm

I dont see cartman having it posted anywhere since the fixtures were added and I presume people have just edited the excel file to include the new fixtures themselves, but incase people havent or dont know how to, this is mine attached. I think its right :)

2 FTs in the next hour.

    Wan-BA & a city defender

    Or

    Robertson & Kilman

Mid table teams used to always have some good players, Benito Carboni and David Unsworth were two heroes from back in those days

I can't even remember hearing of rotation way back then. Maybe in the very early rounds of the cup competitions that was about it.
Now every team seems to do it at some stage except the teams with smaller set squads like Burnley, Leeds, Sheffield United.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Cheers....I meant to send out an updated version but my master version is on a particular laptop that I refuse to go near until Monday morning;)

05/06 I started. Final year of college. Morten Gamst Pedersen was a hero!

First Draft Free Hit for GW 18

    Martinez Randolph
    Kilman Holding Saiss Mitchell Cancelo
    Zaha Grealish KDB Bruno Saka
    DCL Kun Kane

Heavy midfield and front line - Could potentially end up with no playing defenders lol :D

Will FH in GW19 I think as I'm only short 3 players to field 11 in GW18, have exact money for KWP, Salah,Firmino to Stones, Sterling, Aguero for a -4. Risky but it could be a great move for a low scoring GW. Will see if Kun plays this weekend.

That looks good, Only adjustments I’d make is a Newcastle defender and Wilson instead of dcl.

Would be worth it for a -4. But the last time I took a -4 for Aguero with the exact money. I took out Bamford and he scored a hattrick! Aguero did nothing. I hope you have better luck than I did!

Randolph doesn't have a game, why ya wasting .4 there?

    Similar team for me
    DDG (4.0)
    Cancelo Saiss Mari (Lewis Kilman)
    KDB Bruno Son Martinelli (4.3)
    Wilson Kun Kane

I'm a million spare there. Might try Coleman in defence too for old time sake. Could upgrade Martinelli to Podence, El Ghazi or ASM also

As an aside, what are people who are FH'ing planning on ding for the next two weeks? Under normal circumstances I'd start making transfers today to catch any rises, but with Covid I'm slow to in case they do anything like stopping the game for 2 weeks.

I wouldn't be activating it and making any transfers until the last minute, feck the price rises and falls. Anything could happen in the next two weeks.
