As an aside, what are people who are FH'ing planning on ding for the next two weeks? Under normal circumstances I'd start making transfers today to catch any rises, but with Covid I'm slow to in case they do anything like stopping the game for 2 weeks.

Prices rises on FH? Your team is prone in it.

This is my dilemma. I'm certain I'll FH in GW 18 I just don't know the right time. I'm leaning towards waiting until after the next batch of tests are announced. If there's a big spike in positive results there could be a lot of clamour for a two week circuit breaker. Allardyce has already called for one.

Someone like Saiss or Stones that I want to bring in, they look like they're going up tonight, so I'd prefer to buy them tonight.

I realised I could go a different approach a minus 4 with three single gamweekers Wilson, Dier and Son. For a possible bench boost no Man United.

    It would involve:

    Robertson, Brewster, Ferguson OUT

    Rodrigo, Cresswell Lowton IN

It is likely that the -4 would be covered by Lowton alone who should get 4 points?

    Full gw19 team

    Johnstone-Martinez
    -
    Lowton-Cancelo-Cresswell-Justin-Dier
    -
    Salah-Sterling-KDB-Son-Soucek
    -
    Wilson-Rodrigo-Watkins

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Maybe I'm not understanding. On FH you'd get them in and then the week after your old team returns?

I want to add Saiss to my Free Hit team, he’s 5.1 now, he’ll be 5.2 tomorrow. So if I’m convinced I want to FH, I should add him to my FH team tonight. I realise it won’t affect my team for subsequent team, but budget still matters for the FH team

Big Sam is only calling for it because he has a big job on his hands at West Brom and a two week break would allow him some time to work with them and get transfers in.

The majority of managers don’t seem to want it. With EURO 2021 still scheduled to go ahead, there’s no room for delays.

Ah I see! Yeah those 0.1 short of a great team scenarios is one of those sickeners.

I want to get straight into it too but what if the GW gets shut down is in my head. Who knows what will happen. Though I'd imagine they'd return your FH chip.

If I take a -8 tonight and decided to activate my free hit before the next deadline will my -8 be cancelled?

Just tried to pick a FH team for GW 18.

Could get to 5 players handy enough but was a struggle to get to 8.

I may not use FH and just go in with the 4 players I already own.

I remember playing fantasy football on a dial tone phone from the Newspaper.
    Bill payers permission...

Paul Rideout was always consistent. Pen/free takers Irwin and Pearce always in.
Always a job deciding which big name forwards to get in. Sutton/Shearer/Cole/Cantona/Wright

Thats when I started too. Think it was the express game I played but I lived in Africa so made it pretty tricky lol! Luckily there was a transfer window and we normally used to holiday in the UK over winter so I could make some changes! I came 12th in the shoot game one time unfortunately about the highlight of my fantasy career lol!

Have 9 for GW18 but it contains a few duds.
Also have 2 fts. Would it worth free hitting this lot?

    Martinez
    Dias Holding Mitchell
    Son Bruno KDB
    Wilson Brewster

Steer Soucek Robbo Salah Bamford Dallas

Had decided not to FH and go with 9/10 but have gained about 2 million places since GW12 and don't want to lose that momentum now. But also don't want to lose the two fts..

I think the FH would be overkill.
Perhaps if your thinking ahead to losing Son and Wilson for 2 DGW players (say) you could free up some added cash by downgrading Dias to Stones.

Maybe if Randolph (4.4M) is gonna play BB comes into the picture for you but needs at least an extra transfer/hit.

Looking to the skinny GW, I'll have 8 players

    Martinez,
    Holding, Dann(may not play)
    Grealish, Fernandes, KDB
    Brewster, Kane.

Missing Button, Dallas, Struijk, KWP, Salah, Soucek, Bamford.

Think the best option is the FH with that squad as going messing with it may only upset the team that I'm happy with.

Currently have 10/11 starters for GW19 with a double, looking at Kane > Aguero depending on the next week or so.

Randolph doesn't have a game, why ya wasting .4 there?

    Similar team for me
    DDG (4.0)
    Cancelo Saiss Mari (Lewis Kilman)
    KDB Bruno Son Martinelli (4.3)
    Wilson Kun Kane

I'm a million spare there. Might try Coleman in defence too for old time sake. Could upgrade Martinelli to Podence, El Ghazi or ASM also

Randolph was a clear brain fart lol

    Martinez Steer
    kilman holding Saiss Cancelo AWB
    Bruno KDB Zaha Grealish Saka
    Wilson Kane Kun

    Dcl -> Wilson
    Mitchell -> AWB
    Randolph -> Steer

Only had 4 BGW 18 players so activated FH as always intended.

    Leno (Sanchez)

    Basham Egan Cancelo Maguire

Sterling (c) KdB Bruno Grealish Saka

    Kane (Davis, Brewster)

Have 1.6 ITB Could wiggle Watkins back in there or Wood (but that would defeat purpose of Maguire)

Leave it as is for now

I’m free hitting for GW 18 has only have 4 players playing. My Q is can you do it gradually ie make 6transfers today then add another 3 before deadline or does it have be all done in 1 go? If has be done in 1 go will leave as close to deadline as possible

Think it’s like the wildcard.. once it’s active, you can make as many transfers as you like.. have mine active also

Going to hold off until the weekend is over. Then I'll free hit most likely.

Lanzini was at a party with Le Celsco and Lamela and Reguilion . There was an outbreak of Covid at the party. Lanzini tested negative yesterday and so played last night but he could still have it and if he does, it means West Ham and Everton could all be ****ed with Covid.

Fecking dopes breaking their bubbles. Such idiotic behaviour

Using FH in GW18 means losing so much team value with GW19 being two weeks away. But I guess you just have to take it.

These long gaps between gameweeks are always quiet for transfers and price rises. It’s the same for international breaks

Equally frustrating that they're well paid for their talents. This includes not tempting the spread of disease in a pandemic which may affect your team's chances.

FWIW, from following NFL where this has happened a few times this year, there has been no instances of on field infection, and they get quite close and personal with each other. I wouldn’t be overly concern about Everton, obviously West Ham are a greater risk if it has spread in the dressing room.

With EFL SFs involving City, Utd and Spurs, a full round of FA Cup matches, COVID and the possibility of a ‘circuit breaker’ in the PL, I won’t be hitting the button until Tuesday week. Not worth the risk.

    Agree.

I wouldn't panic just to try to use BB in DGW19. And given the chaos and uncertainty at the moment the wildcard could be worth holding.

I certainly wouldn't play the wildcard just so you can BB in 19 personally.

As Chesty said if you don't plan on BB in 19 you're not too bad and could have a strong DGW eleven with a hit or two.

My team is a bit of a disaster and I've been working towards a DGW19 eleven while using hits to fix it a bit. I'm already broken even or up points from four -4s in the last 5 weeks and will have 10 or 11 DGWers in 19

In the interest of transparency and full disclosure I've since activated my wildcard and intend to BB in DGW19.... :o
