The situation in the North is extremely bad. It seems they put in restrictions too late and that combined with no poor testing has led to know reduction under 300 a day

What does he mean “restrictions are due tomorrow”?

Aren’t there restrictions already in place?

There's an 'unlock' before that sentence.

I realise the vaccine takes a month to give immunity, but how many doses are they supposed to get this year?

UK are supposed to get 4 million by end of year. Northern Ireland is around 3% of the UK population so that would suggest they'll get circa 120,000 doses.

Will there be a festival season by the mid-summer here I wonder.

How things are in March will answer that for sure. I reckon so, but if we're still getting NHPET bulletins next June who knows.

If we say for the sake of argument that we have 2000 cases a day, very few new hospital admissions and no icu admissions for 2-3 weeks then we would be giving serious consideration to putting an end to restrictions completely.

For a level 1 situation we'd want to be looking at 1-2 ICU admission per week at most.

    All IMHO, of course.

Realistically I don't think we would have 2,000 confirmed cases and nobody in ICU. As time moves on, less people will be presenting for tests and asymptomatic spread will go unchecked.

Except you will then hear lots of stuff about long Covid and people having medical issues months down the line.

It seems to be bottoming out in that 200-300 range. RIP those who died.

Cases slightly lower than swabs yesterday, slightly higher today, works itself out eventually

Of the 15 deaths, 10 occurred in December. No further information apart from that.

The high death rate is worrisome, I know most are from homes and hospitals but still having 15 deaths announced sounds bad, I suppose it makes it more sad that’s it Christmas.

We are so close to a vaccine for these people also i think that makes it all the worse. R.I.P to them all.

Yes but the logical conclusion is those who ARE dying today will be notified at a future date. It is still valid information.
