Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There unsolved mysteries immediately come to mind.

Firstly the disappearance oy flight MH-370 which disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in March 2014.

The second mystery that comes to mind is the disappearance of Maddie McCann, and my last choice is the very recent disappearance of the British diplomat Richard Morris (ex ambassador to Nepal) who went out for a jog on the morning of the 6th of May and hasn't been seen since!

    Oh wow, talk about coincidence!

...so that leaves me two mysteries.

I know it crashed, but why? Mechanical faults, crazy pilot, hijack?

It's a long read but a fascinating one and by far the best report out there on what happened to MH370. All accidental scenarios ruled out and unfortunately it's pretty much confirmed the pilot intentionally diverted the plane and ran it to the South Indian Ocean.

    Yes

The diminutive robot Lunokhod crawler was actually driven by a midget KGB agent on a one-way suicide mission to the lunar surface.

    Was elvis an alien impersonater?
No. Elvis never impersonated an alien

It's just a story to divert attention from the important maths about Elvis impersonators. The newspapers are very quiet about this.

Madeleine McCann. Did they ever find if that the German guy had anything to do with it?

There is a thread here about it somewhere, but I can't be arsed trying to find it cos the search function is rubbish anyway. Very animated posters there. A totally entertaining read if you ignore my posts on there, and feel sorry for the loss of the child, which I do.

Yes and Mary Boyle’s remains need be found too and her murderer charged if he’s still alive.

That is such a terribly weird tragedy. In 2007 she disappeared without a trace from an apartment. No trace or clues from witnesses, cctv, forensics.... it’s just so weird and fûcked up, nothing of a clue towards what happened.

This Christian B dude... a fûcked up sort of fella. But not one shred of evidence against him.

There was some work done on the yeti, recently enough. There are a number of yeti “artefacts” held by different people, and places, around the world.

A bunch of “samples” were taken from paws, bones, teeth, hair and whatever else they could get. All of them turned out to be bears from different parts of the Himalayas.

Not sure if there’s been any similar study done on Bigfoot.

Not short enough that they can't pick up covid. And bring it back to
    the fourth dimension.

    That'll soften their cough.

    Okay.

Studied it for years my friend, personally spoke to, Travis Walton for an hour, Linda Moulton Howe, Richard Hall. Courtney Brown, Jordan Maxwell. to name some peeps, Someone posted earlier about 411, "somebody somewhere knows something"

Yes indeed they do, an e.g The day before 911, donald rumsfeld said there was 12 Trillion or something to that affect, "missing" from the defense budget.

Yes there was, take this folks whatever way you want to, the money is funding projects to fight, battle, suppress, lower 4th dimensional entities that call themselves, aliens, from Mars years ago, oh no actually from Jupiter eh wrong again, yeah sorry humans its Zeta Reticulli Where you can't zoom in to.

Some more head scratchers, The black nobility families run the planet, the "illuminati" are Their puppets. Goes deep.

We are not top dogs on the planet, lets be honest.

There is another one in Vietnam, could be the same one, not sure.

A University sent a team in, and they came back with casts of their feet and there has been loads of sightings.
People asked why weren't they shot at during the war etc. I think that many had said that they knew it wasn't the enemy and didn't want to alert the enemy to their location.

But I never heard them called rock apes, so may be different, I don't know.

Not sure about all the fringe stuff but the fact that experienced hikers etc go missing on nondescript trails seems strange. High strangeness lol idk.
Thousands have gone missing in national parks worldwide but the 411 only refers to the US recorded missing since someone deemed a record should be taken.

Someone posted about Spring-heeled Jack at the start of this thread (so, 9 years ago now!?) so instead of replying to that I'll post again.

I always thought Spring-heeled Jack was just a stupid story from a Victorian Penny Dreadful, given the era and how strange it is. But no, there was a serious police investigation into it and everything. So yeah, I want to know what that was all about too. Here's a PODCAST about it, if you're interested.

Another one I thought was just a scary story was "Who Put Bella in the Wych Elm?" My grandmother worked in a munitions factory in the area and remembered it, told me about it and I put it down to her trying to scare us kids. Turns out that happened too.

It's a mystery to me, but how am I able to easily attract women into the friendzone, but unable to attract women into bed... Has baffled me so much, I've given up trying to figure it out.

My favourite unsolved mystery is a personal one. A friend and I, both aged about 15 at the time and star watching on a summer night, saw a bright light in the sky moving in very definite triangular shapes and bolting around at a rapid speed. Then it stopped, flashed twice and accelerated away in a straight line at what looked like, from the ground at least, an absolutely astonishing pace.

I am the most cynical and sceptical person imaginable. If it can't be examined, measured or otherwise verified then I don't believe in it. And yet we both saw the same thing that night and to this day, nearly 25 years later, I can't even muster up a layman's explanation of what it was, except that it was definitely, in its most literal sense, an unidentified flying object.

Always wonder about his disappearance too.

I personally think he ran into the wrong psycho that night and an attempted mugging, mistaken identity or similar occurred. Fairly certain that there was more than one offender involved and he was bundled into the back of a car and they did a very good job of burying the evidence. Not their first crime.
