And my response would be, nobody knows what the future has in store, enjoy the good times with family and friends while you can because you could be burying them anyway from a myriad of other reasons.

Exactly. Approx 30,000 people died in Ireland every year. For those 30,000 this will be their last Christmas and that has nothing to do with Covid.

Every single person should enjoy Christmas with their families + close ones this year.

Surely you must realise by now that no matter the hysteria by some , the schools outside of holidays will not be closed particularly with a multitude of vaccines on the horizon.
Out of curiosity when will you deem it safe for your children to partake in society again? It will take many months for a vaccine to reach all of society.

While it's your right to beat the school spreader drum constantly over the last months,but with hundreds of similar posts from you on a daily basis i don't think you will ever win the debate.If i remember correctly you told us that you have kept your children home from school since the summer break.If the vast majority of parents are happy to send their kids to school while you refuse why are you so concerned with schools remaining open.

Sure wasn't there a lad in ICU here in Ireland giving a blow by blow account of his experience with paralysis due to Covid. His ability to use a phone while incapacitated was impressive tbh.

What pubs are they socialising in?
What gigs are they going to?
Are they playing sports? Going to watch them?
How about all the people out of work?
And then there's the people sick with covid, or who have a loved one with covid, in hospital, working in hospitals...

But apparently it's over unless you have been mentally destabilised by RTE...

We have a fair few months to go before normal.
