A lot in the top 50 really moving, interesting to see if this continues will people start going nuts trying to "guess" on the other alts

ones that will defo pump will be BAT, DGB, ZIL, THETA....

ZIL probably going to go nuts I'd say with all the staking rewards, it could easily 20-30x in the next 12 months

Gentleman, appreciate that and I will get round to it this week. Can't be missing out on any gains, been holding it since 2018 years so I'm due!

ya its handy enough, took me about 10 mins

watch a couple of the youtube vids first so you understand whats being done

set up a separate ERC20 wallet on your ledger for the spark tokens and call it spark or flare, something recognisable, best to keep them separate from the ETH if you have any

Yep - I also noticed a few headlines lately ... whenever ATH comes we'll see quite a bit more.

    https://www.irishtimes.com/business/markets/bitcoin-rallies-above-18-000-to-trade-near-all-time-highs-1.4412815

    https://www.independent.ie/business/technology/retail-investors-pump-up-bitcoin-once-again-as-it-climbs-to-near-4-year-high-39763867.html

Still thinking for now it is mostly driven by institutions though.

If Large caps are pumping this hard after the BTC pump, how do you think the mid and small caps are going to go?

Fully intend to. Watching the crypto space has been the ultimate roller coaster since 2017

Crypto Money Flow Cycle - I'll read it

Only if things haven't moved on in the last couple years and one guy selling his stash is all it takes to bring it down.

Looks like many people are going to be trying to sell their 2017 bags to clueless 2020/2021 investors

I just enjoy watching the whole thing unfold tbh

Will be interesting to see where price corrects to and for how long it stays there

There ll be a lot of blood in the streets I feel in the coming months because someone will have to pay for this rise

Re; Crypto Money Flow my mid and small caps are taking off now so if 2017 is anything to go by we should be looking at a sell off in Jan 2021?

It really doesn't feel like a time to sell to me by a good distance. I think what is currently happening was predicted by quite a lot of a people for a while now. When I first bought I expected to see BTC at €20k by xmas TBH. Think I saw a figure of $4trn waiting in investment reserves at the time...that needs to go somewhere.

However my feelings count for jack sh*t at the end of the day and multiple biases at work etc so for those who went through the 2018 collapse, did that not feel like it was a time to sell as well?

Who sells at the beginning of possibly the biggest bull market????

Prices were definitely overheated (as I think they are now too but what's a "fair" price when it can go up 100% in a month or a week?) but stupidly enough, no. The craziest price increases happened in just a few days and there was always a possibility that any dip could reverse at the drop of a hat. The amount of work going on was increasing, ICOs started getting angel funding from large VCs rather than relying purely on crowds and despite daily 5-10% drops (or more) it felt like the amount of corporate interest and developers moving into the space would be some kind of paradigm shift and it kept people's hopes up.
Then December 2018 came and piledrived everybody's head into the ground. Was fun, would like that to happen again.

    ZIL doing an XRP pump

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭banie01

    Mental times :)
Over the last 36hrs, and @7 trades I've gone from 0 xrp!
To $5k in crystallised profit. That's me finished with that coin again for a while now tho.

I've been completely out of BTC positions for a few months :(
I sold out of my LTC positions at @$61, keeping the "profit is profit" mantra flowing through my mind.
While I look on in jealousy at the current gains ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66,652 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Not much need for you to be jealous there banie, you did very well :D

I am in the group that promised myself no more fiat into crypto after early 2018. I stuck to that. Although I did get mighty tempted to pick up 32 ETH @$80-100 back in the day. Found it too risky, so didn't do it. Stuck to my plan.

And "profit is profit" is a good mantra imho. Hindsight is great and all. We'd all be filthy rich if we knew what was going to happen...

The only profit for me in this is that I haven't been selling my mining revenue in the last few months. Overall I am still under water because I never held BTC, always only alt coins (make a note of that, Mr tax man)

    Thanks Unkel.
I'm the same, no more fiat in and most of my trading is now crypto to crypto, or crypto to stable coin.
I started think a couple of months ago when BTC was around 13.5k that I'd be a smart cookie if I started consolidation back into stables before the dip...
The Dip that I was certain was coming! ;)

Turns out I was reading the tealeaves upside down :pac:
    Dammit!

Just to be more specific, I'm not referring to right this instant. I still feel the market has more potential in it. Many coins were 10x or more than they are now, but once they start hitting those individual marks, there will be a lot of bag unloading.

Personally, in my experience, the best route to liquidating is to make a plan and stick to it. Selling in stages (usually percentages) at price points. A logical plan is typically better than emotional reactions in this market.

Have XRP(1k) and LTC(200), to the tune of 1200 dollars.

I am now -370. I just want these out.

I think these got to 4k or something back in '17 but I said I would "Hold out longer". I will not make that mistake again.

I'm a bit confused, you have 200 LTC which you bought at 313? or you DCA'd?

I was too. Looks like total spend of 1200, 1k on XRP and 200 on LTC.

Pumping on both so hope you make a profit on it.

Yeah, 1000 on XRP and 200 on LTC. I bought them just over three years ago.

So has your crypto been on an exchange all that time or do you hold the private keys?
