Not a huge price. Been backed from bigger today. Is bigger than above price in places (14s about). Has claims on his 2nd last run (over C & D) in September. That was a Class5 - into Class6 today. First time visor gives a bit of hope. Downside is the jockey A Mullen - rarely have I any luck when I back him

3.25 Lingfield Rainbird 15/2 e/w. Stoute's jolly is a best priced 5/6. I'm not seeing why he's so short myself. I guess them compilers can read more into the form than I can after only 2 runs. I suppose it's the deserving favourite, but I'd fancy a lay at them cramped odds. Just the e/w for me here though on Fanshawe's horse.

2.37 Southwell Mabela 8/1 win

Taking a chance on this 6yr old here. On the formbook this Mare would seem to be up against it regards staying the trip. The furthest she's ever travelled is 21fs (and a bit) . At around the 20-21fs trip she always appears to be run out of it at the end. Today's trip of 3m60yds (3fs further than she's been before) might eke out some improvement, and she's also one of the youngest in this field. I can see Dan Skelton's horse at least travelling well for a long way anyway. So, a small win here for interest at the decent odds. Available at 10s in places for anyone who likes to shop around. Good luck.

2.46 Sedgefield Challow 33/1 e/w

2 miles amateur/conditional race today. Came placed in Ireland over 20fs on good ground, which looks good to me in a race like this. Bit of an absence to overcome though. K Brogan also takes part, on one of the favorites Evita Du Mesnil. Just the selection though for me here.

Challow no good today - was 10+ lengths detached early on, and finished detached/ pulled up..

Brogan beat in a headbobber by Sincerely Resdev; who saw some money early on, and wins at 14s.

Ran a couple of decent races this time last year. One of those was at the course, where he won over 3 furlongs shorter racing prominently.
He's ran some being held up, or out the back, without faring so well. A few question marks; not least the trip, but worth a smallish bet at an appealing price (has drifted a bit this morning - but that doesn't necessarily stop 'em.. ha :pac:)

He's also back into a Class 4, on the back of two attempts in a Class 3, and 1 in a Class 2. Enough positives, and hopefully a good run forthcoming, and a nice return without getting heavily involved.
