    Spurs' squad is actually mental.

José has no excuse for anything this season.

I can’t believe that if City lose to Liverpool they will be only 1 point ahead of United.

United’s issues are there for all to see and our manager is getting dogs abuse (rightly) for how bad they have done. He may even lose his job in the next few games.

But over the last 14 months Pep has taken city from record league winners to runners up to this. City are still spending a few quid so he doesn’t have that defence. Why does he get such a free ride in the media? He’s failed relative to what city (and Bayern) wanted (champions league) despite city possibly spending more then any club in the world during his reign. Pelligrini and mancini were able to win leagues at City. A league is a league, winning by record points doesn’t make it anymore a league title , I think people give more weight to that then is objectively relevant.

It’s always been clear Pep gets a pass for proper scrutiny but it’s even more apparent now as City languish in mid table

Excuse for what exactly? Not sure how you think his squad is mental.

    Liverpool's and Citys are stronger

Good start by Spurs ahead of their nightmare fixture list

    Excuse for not winning anything/competing.

    Obvious enough.

Jose and Tottenham top of the table (even if only for a short while) .... who would have thought. Sort of nice to see.

His squad is limited compared to City and Liverpool. Doing well so far but expect they will be stretched thin with Europa League football being the biggest headache.

Spurs going well so far, don't think they have suffered much with injuries which is a nice bonus considering what's happening most squads in this hectic schedule.

Kane coming in clutch when it counts once again. He's having quite a season.

Next 2 months of fixtures are very tricky for Tottenham: Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester and Wolves before the year is out. We should get a better idea of what the team is capable of when they come through this run.

That's a massive goal and win for Spurs.

Plenty of teams could have done with them dropping points, no less in the title race.

Spurs have a massive squad, well able to deal with the congested fixtures this season, and injuries if they get any.

Spurs play City Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool Leicester and Wolves in their next 7 games.

Super spurs top of the league.

Gary Doc assisted right on Kane forehead...

    Little beautie

Now over to city to save the day for humanity

Be lovely to see City hammer the ****e out of Liverpool

    Can't see it happening though

Harry Kane the runaway player of the season so far. His numbers are ridiculous

Why do VAR show the penalty incident in slow motion on the pitchside monitor? (Leicester v Wolves)
The ball was lamped at Kilman from about 2 yards away. Awful decision imo.

Crazy amount of Penos Leicester get and not much said about it

Ah it's obvious to anyone not taking the Mick

The great thing about the internet is anyone can jump in to answer stupid questions, got that? Thanks!

Be lovely to see Ole kept on for the season.

They change the rules so many times I haven't got a clue what the rule is now!
Unnatural hand position the rule now I think?... Don't know what Kilman could have done about it tbh.
My point is the monitor is freeze-framing the incident...why not play it in real time to see it as it occured.

If Kane and Son stay fit, they will be a danger. Fixture congestion could impact them later though.

Fully agree. Will mean that the team have started to perform consistently.

Gotta admire all the Liverpool supporters wishing Man Utd well, being going on all weekend.

He's 100 matches in, consistent isn't a word I'd use to describe his tenure. And I can't see that changing.

Fully agree but its what all teams aim for.

In a way he is though... you know in tough games to expect a very defensive stance, and some good high profile victories and draws. And you know in easier games to expect a team that looks like it's not quite sure what it's doing in attack, and to drop a lot of points 'unexpectedly' as a result. It's just that since it bounces back and forth between these two quite consistent settings that it looks inconsistent.

For non-United fans, it's good that the former higher profile wins/draws seem to carry more weight than the latter issues breaking defensive teams down.

Thought it was silly to go four up top by Liverpool, but so far they're way the better team......long,long time left though

Definite penalty, would have been nice to see a replay of the Sterling claim.

    Salah scores!

That's the second penalty that Walker has given away this year from tacking like that I think.
