He was dragged in to these by de engineers with whom he was negotiating equipment sales. He warned me about these places when I was a teen venturing over there.

Have to say it is refreshing for a caller to ring in attempting some kind of solution instead of ringing up to moan or to have their grief groomed by Joe.

It must a bit bizarre for anyone within earshot to hear someone singing, (shouting), at a window?

I think I'll leave it for today, this constant reminder of my own mortality is not healthy. What I need is something uplifting on this dreary November day. I'll head up the fields and enjoy the wildlife while I work

It's a very clever virus. It knows who you're related to.

and that you didnt have a meal with a pint

People with solutions aren't usually of interest to de show and are normally filtered out. You get on air by mentioning death.

Lot of dead burds getting ingested into Aer Lingus planes in recent times, just to cheer you up.

I completely understand where this lady is coming from for her poor husband. My Father is in a nursing home now 5 years with 'dementia louie body' its an awful horrible situation. He and 4 others got covid in Sept from one of the carers, 5 other carers got it too, disaster.

It breaks my heart that I cant visit now again, I did get to visit for a few weeks in Sept as the sole family representative and since March he has declined so much at this point, its like he is severely disabled now, body is fine, mind is completely gone.

But... I understand why I am not allowed to visit. I could be A-symptomatic, end of. Along with the other 30 people who have a family member in the same home. We just dont know, so its best for my dad, and the other residence, for me, as one person not to visit. To keep the people who are 'just old' away from the covid.

My dad is also on the second floor of the nursing home, in the dementia ward/section so there is no window visits for my family.
Its heart breaking, believe me. But, its a pandemic. Its just the way it is now, and for the foreseeable future, sadly.

More political refugees. Seeking to escape American politics and achieves this by calling a radio show to talk about American politics. Good man.

Any chance wan a me pomes would get an airing?

    75 Minutes

    75 minutes, 4 days a week,
I yearn for misery, I prey on the week,
    75 minutes, searching for tears,
75 minutes, for too many years.

For 75 minutes, I spoke to a nurse from ICU,
I listened intently, then went for a poo,
I sat there listening to her huff and puff,
I almost let out “give up yer auld guff”.

For 75 minutes, her beauriful cries were so faint,
Like tears on a statue, from a cheap auld tin a red paint.
I often tink ta meself “yer some f’ing chancer”,
Then I tink of de fees, and de thought of some cancer.

For 75 minutes, I listened to her tears,
I make more in a month than she does in a year.
    I don’t feel guilty, I’m one of Noel Kelly’s
Watch out for me buke, or me face on de telly.

Fittingly so to speak, I wroted dat on de toilet. Had I more time I would have wroted more.

FFS - I went for a nice walk in lovely weather at lunch time and was in great form.

Came back, boiled kettle, turned on radio - a poem.

Drank cup of tea, logged back onto work, turned out radio - more of this American sh1te.

    I'm out - again
