Courtney generally copies between two-three questions from the second and third last paper, I.e. October & Mar 2019. Rule out the ones he’s already copied in Mar 2020 and that’ll leave you with a few bankers I think. S.238/239, advantages/disadvantages of incorporation (which includes SLP), examinership etc.

He blatantly copies and pastes, doesn’t even change the name of the people involved sometimes.

Thank you for this. I have only some of the exam papers.

Do you think I may be safe doing
    Examinership
    Seperate legal personality
    Winding up
    Directors duties
    Changes 2014 act
Shareholders floss v hardbottle and exceptions

Thank you. Any help would be appreciated as I am cramming

    Thank you!

Shareholder protection would be focused on oppression/s212 mainly is it?

I have a few points of 2014 reforms as a back up thanks so some kind soul on here!

What would be best to focus on to narrow down winding up?

Would you mind sending me the points on reform?

I also couldn't access my exam until half 10 and then got kicked out at half 1 so got 3 hours instead of three and a half..really hoping they do something about it and don't have the same mess ups tomorrow for company..was such a bad start to the exam and it really threw me

Do they let you back into the exam after you've had time to view the questions? It all seems very messy

Just talked to them 10 mins ago they are waiting for better exams to get back to them but she said I will be able to finish it today. Yea she all but told me to go look over my notes while I wait. Doesn't matter as I had 4 questions done pretty well but just want to get the last one done now because this is my last FE1 and of course this happens 😂

Might be a blessing in disguise! Best of luck when you do get on you'll be delighted when all over. It's so unfair to have so much external stress as if they aren't bad enough

On the bright side - you can nail the last question now having (presumably?) already had a read of it ;)

Does any kind soul out there have a sample answer for the problem Q for s238 & S239 transactions that they could share please?
    Me too please

For vicarious Q was car dealership vicariously liable for injuries to Kevin?

Junior surgeon or hospital liable re medical neg?

I said car dealership - he was working and did the scope/course test as the only reason he drove them was for the sale.

The junior doctor question o thought could have gone either way imo. But they banged on much about no one else would have taken that decision I said she was liable. I added though that I needed more medical facts because I thought a post opp infection was common, junior or senior? Dunno it that’s right though

Lol did anyone do the intentional torts Q and compensation I made a total balls of it

Yeah I did, took ages to figure out how to answer but I did it through trespass and rights? Direct consequence etc. Havent a clue if that’s even right - I even threw in a bit about the constitution.

Wait what? I only got in at half 10, didn’t get finished. Rang afterwards pretty upset tbh, and they said they’d take it into consideration but no offer to let me finish? I’d feel pretty hard done by if I don’t pass yet others got the chance to go back in? That’s very inconsistent application of the rules

For s.117 you can basically just use the act but apparently people don't do very well in it. I would definitely focus on the others instead!

Ring them again to query this and hopefully they’ll let you back in !

But for test for trampoline q?

But for test for trampoline q?

If you made an argument for it and backed it up with case law you will get points for it, I have no idea what he was looking for, I talked about how irish courts prefer the butfor test but the material element test is useful in difficult causation cases. Those are used to determine factual cause, I focused on legal cause, more specifically successive legal causes, act injury, second act, injury and then novas actus interveniens.

    Hope that helps

Is there a word count for you in the mock exam? I saw it in the generic practice test but the mock exams from law society don't seem to have word count, for me anyway.

Just wondering was there a word count today?

    No there wasn't!

Thanks! Was kind of hoping for one to gauge my answers but I suppose it is what it is :)

Is anyone else's exam now showing up as not taken? I also got a link for more time as I emailed and said my timer was short a few minutes and I got an email and a link to finish it which I did not want to do, I just wanted it to be logged. Now no one is answering the phone. It used to say awaiting feedback and now I am terrified its all gone, but if I click the link and use the time I will be flagged. Help!!

Does anyone have anything concise on winding up? Cramming to the max now and getting stressed out! Thanks

What do you mean you will be flagged? I could not get logged for the first 20 minutes today either so didn't get my last question finished. I raised this with the law society and also got sent a link to finish it I which I now have.

Hi, anybody sitting Company tomorrow see Betterexaminations page says our exam will be open for 1 hour...

Not trying to scare anyone but I'm sure there's nothing wrong and it will probably be fine but want to make sure I'm not the only one.

Mine says the same. But then there is "Exam Lenght is 4 hours" at the bottom.
I think it means that the link would be open for 1 hour, in case somebody is late

Have you clicked the link? I just did there for the craic to see and it said I had an exam to be taken, and then when I clicked that it said I have no exam to take. So I'm guessing the link expired?

    This is a shambles!
